    Literally every other thing I’ve seen says it’ll trade depth for speed. To the point I didn’t even try it. That’s awesome. Gonna give it a shot. Nice ring!

    I don't trust much of the hype and generalization about detectors. Especially ones that have upgradeable bios firmware. Each version of software behaves differently. Each Mode acts differently. I can say Florida sand behaves about the same all over. It's good to find a deep target that beeps good. Then switch around frequencies, tones, recovery speed, Fe and sensitivity. Find what actually goes deeper. Sometimes it's surprising what doesn't work.

    Thank you for asking. 🙂 That last setting on the menu has two settings. Recovery Speed (= 5) and FE iron bias (= 9) . Setting FE = 9 means the Equinox prevents targets of steel from sending a false "good" audio signal. So I won't hear beer bottle caps or nails. I always leave Recovery Speed = 5 for best depth based on my swing speed.
