What is the short method to solve question number 7?

Homework Answers:- 1) option b 1km/s 2) final v=15ms-¹ , intial velocity=0 and time =2ms-² Since acceleration= change in velocity or time (a=(u-v)/t By putting all the values 2= (15-0)/t t= 15/2=7.5 seconds Hence , Police officer will match the speed of motorist in 7.5seconds

@@kiran_198 First use the Second equation of motion where s=24km, t=4s You will get an equation: 24=4u+8a...(i) Again use the Second equation of motion for the total distance and total time (s=88km and t=8s) You will get an equation: 8u+32a...(ii) On solving (i) and (ii) we get u=1m/s Thus, initial velocity is 1km/s

If you use the second equation you see there is plus after UT but in retadation it’s minus because it’s a negative force (now try it) 😊
