Can you swirl this epoxy? I am about to try it and was wondering if there is a certain temp that would be best to keep the colors separated. I don't have a pressure pot so I cant let it get to thick right?
Does the room have to be a certain temperature for it to cure in for the week?
i love the wall of pigments. Also because it is a deep pour resin is that why you don't need a pressure pot?
@AlumiliteCorporation

That's definitely part of it! The long open time of our Amazing Deep Pour epoxy allows for proper air release so a pressure pot is unnecessary!
how long do you let the blanks cure before you turn them?
nice! I just clicked link on epoxy. Does the epoxy, does epoxy cost $48.00 for a pen? I am a hobby turner wanting to expand to epoxy. I make my turning projects for gifts. lol just noticed I stuttered asking my question! haaa
can you do hybrid blanks with this?
@AlumiliteCorporation

yes!
Can you mix other items in, like glitter, alcohol ink or acrylic paint? Or will it not cure properly?
@AlumiliteCorporation
3 жыл бұрын
We haven't done testing with alcohol ink or acrylic paint and ADP yet so you will definitely want to do a small test before using either with a large project! The products we know for sure that can be added are our powders and dyes that we sell on our site - any other additive will need to have a sample test done first.
Will this work to make hybrid blanks?

Yes, you can use this technique with hybrid blanks! Epoxy is less sensitive to moisture but we would still recommend sealing any wood that you'll be using!
When adding a second or third colour to the pour, is it best to pour the colours together in the mould closer to the end of the 60 - 90 minute mark? The the Clear Cast, I typically combine based on temperature (when the resins hit around 95 degrees). Does this heat up like the Clear Cast ?

@@conner2793 Ya, he just poured the resin from two opposing directions - I was thinking of pouring them on top of each other which I do with the regular Clear Cast. I have a feeling that mixing Red and Blue this way will just give me purple.
@AlumiliteCorporation

Yes, but it takes much longer to heat up since it's a deep pour! You can base this on temperature or you can do it closer to the 2-3 hour mark!

I'm still having bubble issues with it even after pouring less than 1/4 inch at a time and popping bubbles between each. They keep appearing by the next day
Will this work with dice? I’m wanting to make blanks with dice for my buddies.

Great question! Yes it will - however, most of our dice makers choose our Amazing Clear Cast Plus epoxy for casting dice.

@@AlumiliteCorporation I’m sorry I should have clarified better I’m wanting to use dice that are made already and use them to make hybrid blanks. Will it still work the same?
Can you add organic materials like flowers to the resin?
@AlumiliteCorporation
2 жыл бұрын
Yes! We have a video on how to do this! Basically you just need to make sure to dry out your organic materials as much as possible before adding them to the resin!
Make a resin similar to this in different flexibility please. I need this for my custom action figures can't use a pressure pot for them everytime I try to plug an air compressor in my house for my pressure pot it turns all the power off in my house. 😔

Why part B first, and not A?

It typically doesn't matter what side you do first, especially with epoxy, so either will work!
