Episode 8 - Your comprehensive guide to iOS and macOS updates with Intune
Ғылым және технология
In Episode 8 I go through the various options available for iOS and macOS OS updates included with Microsoft Intune. This is achieved using device update policies that allow you control the updates deployed as well as deploy restrictions on the versions installed. The video shows you how to configure the policies and I then show you the end user experience when the policies have been deployed.

Great show, thank u
Did i do something wrong? I copied the exact same settings but as an end user I can still turn buttons on and off at updates. In addition, application updates and macOS updates are also on by default
Hello! I am trying to configure a set of updates profile that will apply to iPad/iOS devices and to set them to update outside a specific schedule for a specific region. I created the update profile, however I notice that a configuration profile creates automatically at the same time but it does not include the same schedule range I've set in the update profile. I assume that both of these profiles need to reflect the same schedule.
If you chose Download Only and set a schedule time. Will the updates only be available to install at those times?

Once downloaded the schedule should determine when the update installs Or doesn’t upon check-in to Intune
Hi Andy, We have almost 300 ipads and we face lot of issue to update them to the last version. Around 150 are updating but the other not. There is an option to force the update ? I mean install and reboot automatically like windows. Because i have configured updates policies but users need to manually go to settings and install the update. Thanks in avance Best regards, Nicolas

Nicola, using Intune policies, you can force users to update their devices: Use Enrollment Restrictions to prevent users from enrolling devices that aren't current. Create compliance policies to determine the devices that aren't updated. Create Conditional Access (CA) policies to block devices that aren't updated. The CA policies can also prompt users to install current updates so they regain access. This will dependent on whether they have automatic updates switched on for the device which is the default on new devices. see here for more info if not already seen.learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/protect/software-updates-guide-ios-ipados Once downloaded the update should install and reboot.
Hello, to run the iOS at 13:47, what do you use please ? Xcode ?
