Nobody could play Walter White like Bryan. His expressions, his eyes, his mannerisms, you knew just what he was thinking at every turn. I'm still blown away at his performance. Your Emmys Bryan……….well deserved!

Bryan Cranston as Walter White is, in my opinion, the best role in the history of television and cinema. The thought, dedication, and work this man put into his character is unbelievable and it shows on screen. It is not often, especially when it comes to a television show, that an actor completely immerses an audience into their character. While watching this ground breaking series there was not a single moment in which I saw Bryan Cranston as an actor. To me, he was Walter White the entire time. It was as if the chemistry teacher turned drug lord was a real person and we were following his true story. Mr. Cranston and the show Breaking Bad changed my life and impressed me beyond belief. It will go down in my book as the best story I have ever witnessed.

Took me some time to see this show since I do not watch much TV. I am retired and had the opportunity to watch it due to some encouragement from one of my daughters. I finally gave in and watched the first episode. It took only a few minutes and then I forgot I was watching a movie and fell into the trance and life of Walter White. Then comes Jesse and Walters family and those drug dealing characters, who in my opinion should have gotten some recognition, and I was hooked. What a story. Just saw the last episode yesterday. I wish it had not ended. Anyway as a senior 67 years of age I must say this is a one of a kind and unforgetable story which will be talked about for years to come. Thank you to all who worked so hard to make it happen.

I wholeheartedly agree!! I, too, was hooked after the first few minutes. I just watched the whole series in Feb. of 2016 and watched it in 10 days. for days after it was still in my mind, and everything around me reminded me of Walter or Hank or Gus. When it ended, I have never felt so satisfied from any show ever. this show has surpassed everything I've ever seen in my 45 years. I'm glad I didn't watch it when it was on because I wouldn't have been able to wait 7 days between episodes and waiting months between seasons would have been torture. This is simply the best show in the history of tv. I will forever be comparing all future shows to BB.

In addition to acting, I hope Cranston will have more directorial roles. He really seems to have a good grasp on how important writing is in film.

What touched me here is he saying how fortunate he is on being able to do something he enjoys doing, goofing around and using his imagination...(acting) and gets paid for it.. If you really love your work, you won't feel like working at all. A man who loves what he is doing is a happy man.

"We did SIX seasons" I love how everyone says it's six seasons except for AMC.

This guy is an actor that is truly inspiring. What an actor. True professional explanations too.

The most amazing thing is that he got the role after Vince remembered him from a random X-files episode. Also the way he puts it, that these days we don't like good and bad characters but gray ones, that's so true.

the reason BB is so good is because its exciting and dramatic without compromising believability ; you truly believe each scenario would have happened. the great acting and script are just a bonus

Every actor cherry-picked, from the lead role to the extras. Every writer, producer, director. Paying attention to detail; anyone who hasn't done this yet should' for example, take a good look at the books in the Schraders' library, while Jesse prepares to give his recorded statement. Every episode ending-credits music, a different version of the BB theme tune. Broke the mold. Raised the standards for American television. Well played, Vince Gilligan. But there's a huge difference between Walter and Bryan, and that's that Walter is full of hatred and jealousy for his missed chances, and then does everything to keep that massive ego trip of him going (nothing stops this train. BITCH!), while Bryan does what he loves and is incredibly happy and satisfied, but also doesn't take it on the ego trip tour, thinking like "IM THE GREATEST!" and such. In fact, I think for the great actor that he is, he is very humble (and humorous xD).

When I first saw an advert for Breaking Bad, I thought, oh hey, the Malcolm in the Middle Dad. Now when I see Cranston; I think Heisenberg. Phenomenal role.

this guy is so intellegent, it's frightening.

I love how he said he uses manipulation to get actors to do things, because Walter White used a ton of manipulation to get everything done in Breaking Bad.

"How do you leave roll like walter white behind?" My answer: "YOU DON'T. IT STAYS WITH YOU FOREVER."

No, no. He's both. Talent and luck aren't mutually exclusive. Plenty of talented folks don't get that lucky break (or two or three) and wind up in relative obscurity. That's why gratitude is important--it isn't just our effort or work or talent, there's that random element that is commonly called 'luck.' Remembering that keeps us humble and kind and generous to the less 'lucky'.

Yeah it sucks when a great show like that ends. But I got to hand it to Vince Gilligan it actually was in my opinion one of the greatest endings to a series. So satisfying

What do people find attractive in Walt? Because they see the easiness with which they themselves would go down that same road were they in similar situations and facing the same choices. It's because Walt is portrayed (written and acted) so brilliantly as a universal sort of human being (good qualities with flaws that could and do lead to incredible vices) that he's a sort of evil Everyman. We all see ourselves reflected in him. (Pass the bong, man.)

In my opinion, it's because justice must out rule injustice; even if, the rules of the "powers-that-be" must be broken during the course of the battle. It's a "Robin Hood" story in a way; although, the poor is "cancer" in this case.

I've been thinking about evil as motivated not by just wanting to hurt people or bad intentions, but instead by a sense of injustice that becomes magnified and displaced onto others -- the typical "I got hurt or screwed in some way, now I'm getting revenge." I see this in Walt's character: he got screwed out of a brilliant career and is making virtually nothing, so he internalizes this unfairness and displaces it onto the world: what's my name? You're goddamn right. This, to me, is the spirit of all evil. Which means that evil is motivated in part by something good: justice.

Kierkegaard Well said, very true! You can see those seeds of that sense of "justice displaced into evil" in Walt as early as season one (I believe it was) when he rejects his wealthy friends' offer to pay for his cancer treatment, due to his sense of injustice and entitlement, and instead continues to pursue the meth business as an alternative for paying for the treatment.

Nice to see an interviewer that lets the interviewee talk at will without interrupting.

Bryan is so articulate and direct when being interviewed. He barley stuttered and didn't say "um" or "uh" a lot. Bryan is such an amazingly talented and smart person.

He's not really the star of the film despite the top billing. His son in the film is the star.

I'm obviously a huge fan. Bryan's acting is clearly superb. What also impresses me is his smooth blend of intelligence, candor, and good will. He seems to be genuinely decent as well as open and honest. With the kind of money he has he could easily afford (pun intended) to be a pompous ass. I'm always amazed at what a "package deal" he seems to be. "Breaking Bad" is by far the best series I've ever watched. My hats off to Bryan, Vince Gilligan, Aaron Paul, and the entire cast and crew.

What a brilliant, intelligent, wonderful man.

Bryan Cranston puts it best and it's true... 5 (6 at the very most) should be the limit for all great shows.

I just love his voice. I mean the way in which it goes from smooth and caressing to harsh and guttural is a treat to watch.

What an interesting, humble guy. I loved this interview. I too have been introduced to Albuquerque through family and of all the places I have travelled to, it is the best. I will return for my 3rd visit very soon. Thanks Bryan and Breaking Bad for bringing this wonderful place to the rest of the world. I loved this show and I love this town.

Well, it's official. Bryan Cranston is an amazing man ánd actor! The stories he is telling are all so real and touching. Great man!

You got to hear the story he tells on Marc Maron podcast about how he was a suspect in a murder. An actual murder . The chef was murdered when he was working as like a waiter or something in Restaurant. Check it out WTF podcast with Marc Maron

Acting is one of the hardest jobs in the world. That's why very few are worthy of being called "artists".

He’s such a humble person and just genuinely nice...brilliant interview.

Great interview, really enjoyed it alot. BC is full of experience and he's a fun person to listen to.

Cranston is a rare breed in Hollywood. I'd disagree with much of his politics, but the man has character and integrity. I admire that. Someone should make this video a transcript!

Even many SS officers during WWII, who murdered hundreds of people day after day, were good family men. They loved their wives and children, they would joyfully play with their children...etc. But, they were monsters while doing their jobs. It's simply astonishing that people have that in them and can still be good husbands and fathers.

well people are dualistic in nature..we have both good and evil sides in us, you can`t be only good even "holy" men think about sex or about masturbating once in a while..The examples you gave are just men who love their families but they are bad..And one of the morals of breaking bad is that you can`t fully acomplish that because what you do at home with your family and "at work" influence eachother especially if your family does not approve.

Louis Eastwell That's probably because the explanations thus far have been complete bullshit. Fact is duallity is inherent in every human.

Loved this show. I didn't want to watch... because my son -- who was disturbingly pre-occupied with stories about drugs -- loved it. So I, as his mom, tried hard to discourage anything drug related. It wasn't until he moved out (after graduating college) that I was finally able to try watching it... without extreme prejudice. And I loved it. In fact, in talking to my now adult son, I found I liked the Walter White character much more than he did. He identified with Jesse. But I totally understood WW's total desperation at the outset of the series. I was in a similar situation when my kids were young. I was raising them alone, working 2-3 jobs to make ends meet and then... I became disabled. Without any health care. I don't have anything terminal. But, then, I didn't find any way out, either. But I totally identified with everything he did. I get that he did it for his family, even the most despicable, horrible things. Only parents -- and only parents who have been in that spot -- can understand how far they'll go for their children. I can say with all confidence I would go to hell for my children. I think have that in common with Walter White. And I'd like to think, having portrayed WW so well, that Bryan Cranston understands that, too. Thank you.

I think that the last few series passed really fast, but everything else is really really interresting. Bassically I didn't really bother of anything on breaking bad, but I was just sad it ended so soon... I miss that show it's like it becomes part of my life when you actually start watching it

Estella Sistar . Bryan didn't go to Harvard, but Vince The creator went to Harvard and Dean Norris who played Hank also went to Harvard..

Great job to both Bryan Cranston and the interviewer. The whole thing flowed perfectly, reasonable and intelligent questions were asked, and it was fun to watch.

Raw interviews are the best.

That's called humility. Or do you think that all the years he spent learning his craft, busting his ass to get jobs, improving as an actor, honing his own natural talent, sticking with it when things got tough, do you think that had nothing to do with his success? That it was all just luck? Did he just get lucky when he won three Emmy's? No, he was able to win those Emmy's because he was a great actor, and he became a great actor through raw talent as well as years of hard work perfecting his talents. He didn't just cash in a lottery ticket. And let's be honest, here. There's very little in common between acting and most other careers. Except for rare occasions, most of the jobs are short term. While many people might spend a lifetime working at a single company, building a business, or whatever, most actors don't spend a lifetime working on a single show. Hell, most actors probably spend a career hoping and praying they land a pilot, and most of those who do probably never see the pilots they land get picked up. And there's certainly no such thing as "typecasting" in most businesses. "Sorry, Bryan, but the public only sees you as a computer product marketing agent, so they won't accept you as an appliance marketing agent." Give me a break. So yeah, Bryan Cranston most certainly DID build that. Or was there some OTHER guy instead of him living in a flea bitten apartment subsisting off of Cheerio's and tap water when he couldn't scrape together so much as a job in a TV commercial?

Such an amazing interview, well done!
