My first Mother’s Day after the loss of my twin girls was made very special by my family. When I showed up at my parent’s house my entire family surprised me with a gorgeous flower bed that had a statue of twin children playing on a teeter-totter. All my nieces & nephews made cement handprints to go along with my twins handprints in the in the garden. Then they gifted me a beautiful framed collage of everyone working together to make the garden along with the sweetest homemade cards.

I feel that saying happy bereaved mothers day feels wrong; so I always say have a blessed bereaved mother's day. So to all is you: have a blessed bereaved mother's day!

When someone asks me if I have children I’ll usually say I had twins in 2005, but unfortunately I didn’t get to raise them earth side.

I had my twin sons and one passed, my families comments still floor me 35 years later, was well at least you still have one. Like he was some consulation prize and I should simply forget that my other son Josh was even born.
