I really appreciate Chris Bosh's candidness about the two series. His ability to discuss not only the win but also the loss says a lot about his character and lack of ego.

But how do you really feel ?
The heartbreaking 2013 Finals, the preseason, the regular season build up, the Playoffs run, beating Dallas, the OKC in the Western Conference Finals, games 3-5 with the absolutely best display of team basketball ever seen, Game 5 with Manu sparking the team in the first quarter, then the Manu dunk, the 3 point barrage in the 3rd quarter, largest margin of victory in NBA Finals history in just 5 games and basically breaking the Heat Big 3 apart... BEST SPURS CHAMPIONSHIP EVER.

Yes definitely but it feels like yesterday. Franchise championship exclamation. If you didn't understand before, u did after 2014. Nba has always been about team, no other championship team since 2014 has ever done or gone through what these spurs went through. Greatest nba championship redemption story ever in my opinion. No Legendary coach or Legendary Franchise player duo has ever lost in nba finals in that way and come back and won it after winning and being together for 17 years. We will probably never see that type chemistry between Legendary coach (pop) and Legendary franchise player (Duncan).

The greatest redemption story in NBA history. Hard to believe it’s been over *NINE* years since this incredible event. Also can’t believe it’s already feeling nostalgic watching this, seems too soon. Spurs took no prisoners that year, even though Dallas was surprisingly tough, and I finally got to stand up to people who made fun of me for being a Spurs fan. Vindicated for sure, not just me, but the Spurs too. Plus, it proved to the Heat that they got extremely lucky in 2013 and it sent LeBron back to Ohio in the process.

I thought five minutes before the end of Game 5, LeBron suddenly missed Cleveland. San Antonio man up from the 2013 loss. LeBron's "reconciliation" is a subtle form of washing away responsibility, blaming everyone in the Heat except himself.
As much as i loved seeing us win it in 1999, 2003, 2005 and 2007, this win seemed to be the most cathartic and emotional one of them all.
@nicolaspietrangelo5573

It really was. The closest thing to it might be 2005 with that incredible series against Detroit, but even that run doesn't all the emotional ingredients that 2014 had, there's just no way you can compare it.
Pop was the only spurs associate who spoke about kawhi. It says a lot about Pops personality. Good guy.
@broadstreet21

But he carelessly later said Kawhi wasn't a leader. The one time he blew it in his assessing his former player. Kawhi was as much a leader as Tim Duncan, they were like twins. If he weren't a leader, the Raptors wouldn't have won a chip.
@OrionOodama

@@broadstreet21 “Carelessly”? If Pop really said the word, more than less it is a conscious utterance. Never, ever compare Timmy to that traitor. Timmy stayed, remained loyal, and even willing to sacrifice money and stats so the team can contend year after year. That’s genuine and selfless leadership. “Judas” took an illegal vacation in 2017-18. So when he shipped to the Raptors, he was basically well rested and his whims were granted. He care less about loyalty. That’s why a year later he went to LAC, his dream destination (and near to native San Diego).
@broadstreet21

@@OrionOodama You want to talk about Duncan's loyalty? You forgot that he came close to joining the Orlando Magic in free agency, but turned them down simply because his family couldn't ride in the team plane. How is that for loyalty or selflessness? He's no different from Leonard - only Leonard actually followed through and pushed for a trade.
Wemby is going to be in the next championship documentary
Despite other peoples feeling on Kawhi, San Antonio does not win without him. He was a blessing to this city, as it was a fun time, things felt right come Fiesta time in this crazy world. The playoffs were starting and we knew the Spurs would compete till the very end. This team was so amazing to watch and there will be nothing else like it.

He is not the whole. It remains a team effort. He ruined himself, not the franchise. If not for the Spurs patiently honing him, he won’t be enjoying the “perks” of his betrayal.

The unselffish ballmoving. “Game respects game. You can respect beautiful basketball when you see it.” as Spoelstra put it. I fell in love with this team and the sport here. Pops impressive coaching, the ressilience showed, Diaw, Splitter and more. How he incorporated Leonard. Man I wish Zaza Pachuli did not do us dirty in that injury. It really ruined Leonards Spurs legacy due to all that happened. But this, this we never forget Kahwi; here The Claw was made!
The BEST championship game to date! ❤❤

I love all the 2014 Spurs including KL. Thank you for rhe best basketball the world has ever seen
The greatest NBA team of all time.
Around the 30:10 mark you can see a square at the top right corner of the whiteboard with the number 1 inside of it. At the beggining of that Playoffs run, on game 1 versus Dallas, that number was 16. It's just a little detail, but for me it carried so much weight. I can only imagine what it felt for the players and coaches to see that number getting smaller and smaller with every single won game. I still get goosebumps every time I think about it.
I will love this team forever❤❤❤

There was no 2012-2013 season, but a 2012-2014 CHAMP SZN. Finally a proper documentary for the 2014 Championship! Kudos to the Spurs social media group👏🏆👏
The beautiful game... i remember that year. What a great group of men. I've been waiting for this episode to come out and it was worth it.
Shiiiiiiiit! I remember TD saying that. Til this day it gives that Punisher vibes! I did not miss a single game that 2014 season, watched every fucking game. Sheeeesh!
I was just thinking about these 2 seasons last week, and how it's been almost 10 years... wow, how time flies. Long time Spurs fan here, thanks for all the memories Timmy, Ginobili and Parker! I miss that team core.
After 2013, watching how we came out to start the season, praying every night for no injuries, watching people be assimilated, through the triumphs of the playoffs, reading about Pop talking to the guys at dinner, and finally seeing us DOMINATE the heat in the Finals..the best journey to the most beautiful victory by the greatest team assembled. Thank you Spurs for being a great team to be a lifelong fan of. GSG!!
I used to get mocked bc I’d brag about the Spurs being the only team that has stuck to old school rules and fundamentals of basketball, but with a new school mindset. It came down to the greatest teamwork, the best assists, the definition of OG fundamental basketball greatness 🤘🏼
Best TEAM of all times. Amazing to watch back then, the second unit could have started in another team and still make the playoffs playing so good, the big threes last dance, a young Kawhi, what a team, guys! Still a good memory, from Italy (happy for Beli).
I love this franchise so much! 😭

The best championship ever
This was the greatest season of basketball I've ever had the pleasure of watching. They just had something extra that season and you knew they couldn't be stopped. How we loved Kawhi back then. We were so proud of him, the future. After watching this I feel a bit of forgiveness but it's hard.
The sweet memories of redemption I am so proud of the 2014 Spurs showing that fortitude, they inspire til this day! #GoSpursGo!!!
To this day I struggle to even think about what happened vs the Heat in that first finals series. However, there are teams that have gotten so close and had their hearts ripped out before and were never able to redeem themselves. The Spurs not only redeemed themselves immediately the following season but they did it with a VENGEANCE

Oh shxt, the time has come! I’ve been waiting for this one! Lets go! Go Spurs Go!
I remember being newly divorced with a broken heart and the Spurs losing game 7 with Allen's famous shot. I remember telling myself, just another thing going wrong... Whatever. The next year was the perfect timing for me to experience my team win the championship. I fully enjoyed it. This team is a part of who I am. The Spurs will always be the part of my life story and it will continue to do so. It's kind of crazy to say a professional basketball team plays a part in so many lives. It's a ridiculous existence sometimes. GSG
@OrionOodama

So you're sharing a similar journey with Tim Duncan, after all. Between 2013 WCF and Finals, he was working his divorce process with his first wife.
When I saw episode 46 and that infamous shot that served as thumbnail, Spurs production MUST HAVE a profound episode 47! And sure enough, this episode tackled the redemptive championship run in 2014. "Redemption, not revenge." That was the first sentence I wrote on a Facebook note, chronicling my take on this uber-inspiring Title finish. There's revenge in mind for sure, but Pop, Tim, and Manu, at "under that basket", probably properly aligned the mindset entering the next season. Because if it was revenge first, emotions would bring out a worse case scenario. Thankfully Timmy knows it as a Psychology grad and set the tone. It is hard not to complete this feature without mentioning that traitor. Pop, David Aldridge, and the Heat took over the affirmation from his rise from a defense-first small forward the team badly needs into a star (but Judas-like as turns out). Teammates not mentioning his contribution speaks a lot. He played a critical role for sure, but he is not the whole. Bandwagons would cite the Spurs didn't win back-to-back. So what? Behind Celtics, Lakers, Bulls, and Warriors, they have the most number of championships achieved on five separate occasions. Not a bad feat, although Robert Horry was dismayed on missed opportunities in 2004 and 2006. (Not to mention 2013.) The fact Phil Jackson, whom Pop only toppled once (out of five Playoff meets), tweeted and congratulating the Spurs speaks a lot. Jackson lauded the team's mental toughness. Dennis Rodman tweeted too, congratulating his "old team" while consoling the Heat on how it is hard to three-peat. And considering the high-level, offensive dominance of Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors on six of the next nine Finals, it is a surprise the Spurs still holds the largest combined winning margin in NBA Finals history (70). Guess volume sweet-shooting cannot replace San Antonio's "The Beautiful Game" masterpiece, and perhaps will never happen again. And I could go on, and on, and on. As Pop often says: Life is always bigger which basketball is only a part of. This redemption run to the franchise's 5th Title serves as one of my inspiring templates on how to bounce back from personal slumps and failures -- although I need to minimize that sting caused by the traitor.
They really should've included the poster dunk by CoJo on Ibaka in game 4 of the Conf Finals because it really turned the momentum of that series around. It was looking like the thunder were gonna repeat 2012 again and win 4 straight. Also, the last shot by Tim over Ibaka in game 6 to seal it was unforgettable.

yes to the duncan one ... but that Manu 3 was just as big
Best spurs revenge ever
Best team ever
As I've said before, a win against anybody for a championship would have been sweet, but to achieve full redemption, it had to be against the Miami Heat with complete dominance. 2014 wouldn't be as impactful without the heartbreak of 2013. A remarkable story with lessons that transcend basketball. It's like saying, "We had it last year, but WE lost it!" I mean no disrespect to the Heat for their victory in 2013. They saw a crack and turned it into a championship. A missed rebound, leading to a clutch three-pointer, overtime in that game, and game 7 - we lost our concentration and mental resilience. Despite having numerous opportunities to win in 2013, we couldn't let go of that sequence from game 6.
I really wish we mend fences with Kawhi and he can explain his side too. How much we believed in him and how he showed it in 13 and 14
EVERY CHAMPIONSHIP WAS FREAKING AWESOME,BUT 2014 WAS AMAZING PURO PINCHE SPURS
