    I find it interesting that as big as South Africa is, we are all labelled as xenophobic across the continent as a result of the actions of the selected few. On the other hand, Nigerians dont want to be labelled as drug dealers because of the few who sell drugs. Its also crazy that we are crucified by people who come from countries who have issues with tribalism to the point of killing each other

  • @tinabehrens3875

    @tinabehrens3875

    Жыл бұрын

    Cause and effect should be taken into account when making certain comparisons regarding social issues. How are the drugs let into the country actually? Who benefits most from the sale of drugs in S.A? Let’s perhaps not see it as being “crucified” but constructive criticism. ☮️✌🏼

  • @Arthwell1

    @Arthwell1

    Жыл бұрын

    @Tina, it cant be constructive criticism. Tribalism is the worst. That should be a priority. You hate you own because they subscribe to a different tribe/religion? The be concerned by xenophobia in a foreign country? 🤔 Most of foreign nationals speak of South Africans as if they have never met kind South Africans. We have always been welcoming people. Here, you stay with us, in our communities, back yards. But online its a different story. We are "full of hate" , "we are brain washed" and yet we have a huge number of foreigners in this country. Not in white surburbs. In our communities. Do you think if we really hated foreigners that would be possible? It doesnt mattee where drugs come from. We dont stay in white surbubs. We see Nigerians IN OUR street corners selling drugs not wealthy people or whatever. So its really naive to think that we would go to surbubs and fight people who bring drugs in the country. No. We see, and know Nigerians who do to the point of using salons and shops as front. There is no hate there. Constructive criticism must be across. The same energy we use to fight Xenophobia, we can also use to condemn tribalism and those who come into the country with the sole purpose of destroying the least of the moral that we have by feeding our youth with drugs. As long as youre part of the chain, youre just as guilty as the person who brought them in. And this is not a message only to foreigners, but citizens as well. They get killed by Communities.

    @Arthwell_UmXhosa who wants a negative label attached to them? People are people and they want to be thought of in positive terms. Even when the shoe fits generally people reject negative labels eg members of the KKK or supporters of apartheid don’t like being called or referred to as racist. After 911 muslims are profiled as terrorists but there are over 8 billion people in the world and 2 billion of those are Muslim. If 25% of the world were terrorists would we have a world to speak of? Fact is for many people perception is reality. Very few people challenge the views they hold and how they came to hold those views. The world we live in is curated & influenced by the actions of a few and the majority follow. We are told/taught who to love and hate.

  • @Arthwell1

    @Arthwell1

    So labels are justifiable when placed on South Africa and its people? I have friends from across Africa, mostly Zimbabweans as my neighbours. We have never had problems. So what do you think it will do to me, when I come online and hear how we are labelled as being hatefull and yet we accomodate the very same foreign nationals people claim we hate?

    The transgressor always forgets the offence & it's only the response of the offended that is remembered. When South Africans react to their crimes, it's called Xenophobia. We will not just pick a fight with someone for nothing. The guests have to defend their people, but we cannot be in denial of the bad things Nigerians have done. The prostitution industry in my city I am from is run by Nigerians. The guys selling drugs in the clubs in the same city are Nigerians. I've personally had encounters where I fought with Nigerians because of their disrespect.

    I enjoyed this, The guy in Dreads has so much empathy man. He genuinely doesn’t like disrespect whether it’s given or received. Eg. How he urged them to stop talking about the late AKA issue☺️He also said he looks for kindness in a woman. He didn’t degrade SA or Women in general, MacG kept tryna insult SA girls but he on the other hand understands that for some, it’s a lack of finance issue that make women want money from men. Nigerians just happen to be the most generous. He’s open minded & he even made MacG put himself in their shoes & Macg agreed that he would have sex with no question if a certain amount of money was promised to him. I liked that about him & his self control even after going hard on the Hennessy 😅he was chilled. Also may I just add that one of the reasons why woman like Nigerian men is how they carry themselves that being with Confidence. Their physic helps a lot in that Confidence🤞🏾Nigerian men have banging bodies & that’s very attractive, the finesse is a contributing factor😂 SA woman like Nyja men but the same reason Nyja men will always go back to their Nyja woman is the same reason they go back to their SA men. Nyja men can be very disrespectful & toxic when there’s no love involved. SA woman are very vocal, something they aren’t used to, so the clash happens & both parties rather go back to what they are used to. That’s just my take on that matter. Lastly our Government is definitely a contributing factor where corruption is involved, the reason many foreigners find comfort in staying in SA, that includes, Chinese, Somalians, Indians(Non SA) etc. Our laws fail this country!

It’s really the 0,001% of the citizens here - that just make me feel very uncomfortable, sometimes not so welcomed! Guess the scar of Xenephobia really never left their minds. 💔 There’s no Mac Donald’s - but a McBiggs 😂 Nigeria is actually chilled low crime rate.

    This kind of life is only specific to certain geographical areas. Most of the population of SA women do not relate to what these guys are saying. People think SA is limited in Gauteng and that is just a fraction of a pie. Also, these people from Nigeria are only in SA for a flashy life because they do not have families around and therefore they have no responsibilities. Any penny they make is to impress women, unlike a SAn man who has to take care of himself and his family with the money he makes. These are just men with no responsibilities who are living for today. It is just a Nigerian thing to look like they have money even if they are broke.

    I'm Congolese and most of these Nigerian guys only go for club going girls who love to drink. Plus they money is comes easy from scamming so it goes away easily as well and that's why they spend it all on pleasure and not real stuff like land etc.
