EPISODE 4//MOMBASA-DAR ES SALAAM.TRAGEDY ALMOST STRUCK BEFORE MY TRIP STARTED
Episode 4 started at 5am.I woke up so early to catch a glimpse of early morning bus arrivals from the capital and from upcountry. I first of all want to Tahmeed booking office to confirm my ticket details and check on my yellow fever certificate. Tragedy almost struck when the person who was supposed to deliver the booklet wasn't picking my calls. I had tension in me but finally some minutes to 7am i had the book. Story of another day...
our trip started at exactly 7.30am where we proceeded to Likoni ferry and crossed to the other side of the mainland. We traversed several towns including Ukunda,Ramisi and then we landed at Horohoro boarder at exactly 10pm.boader clearance took approximately 20mins which is commendable job from both Kenya and Tanzania government. In our next episode we start our trip from here Horohoro to Dar Es Salaam city.

38:04 Kwale county does not touch "Tana River" at all or has no link with Tana River. North Coast when you are in Malindi which is in Kilifi County is on your way to "Tana River County" and "Garissa County"! The weather was very cool indeed until later on when the sun came out. In April it is usually cooler at the coast than in other months. Thank you for Episode 4 and I am looking forward to the rest of the trip from the "Horohoro border to DAR!

I seriously ask myself: did the bus driver only drive so carefully through Ukunda and on to Kinondo because his journey was captured on camera? Personally, I experience the drivers of this bus company as reckless and against all traffic rules. They overtake even when tuktuk and moped drivers come towards them. I have had to leave the road several times on unpaved roadsides because otherwise a tahmeed bus would have run me over head-on!
