"See a fire. Put out a fire. Guess what? Works!" Ha! Gregg Simmons is awesome!
And now these YOUNG DAWGS are gonna get a chance to experience the Alamo Dome this year! I hope I can make it!! It’d be my dream to see the spurs play there
When the Spurs play in the Alamodome this January I hope they use the 90s court
I really miss the Dome…. my family had season tickets the last two seasons we played there… I miss the blue curtain, the player sponsored camp banners, the massive 99 champiobship banner, and the blue Go Spurs Go sign. Stan Kellys voice and the colorful court were just cherrys on top for me. I remember the first game we played at the SBC Center, I thought this place is cool, but quickly I realized how special the Dome was.
I've had many memorable moments at the Alamodome, but the water canon game takes the cake! Seriously epic and hilarious to see irl.

i was at that game and all i remember was like what the hell is spraying us...damn water cannon!!
I was at the water canon game!!!
We lived with my grandma on iowa and cactus. I remember walking to the dome too watch the spurs play and riding our bikes all around the alamodome, I miss them days.
There was no atmosphere like the Dome during the playoffs. My brother and I got to see them play the Lakers during their championship run in the playoffs and that was amazing.
Please bring back the Alamo games !!!!🙏🙏🙏
Sean Elliott is such a class act!!
Yeah, they loved the dome so much that they left it and built the at&t center. I had many good memories there, like $3 upper level seats and seeing the memorial day miracle game
I miss the Alamo dome, those nosebleeds though, I remember watching monster jam one year
The new ATT Center pales in comparison to the Alamodome. Having 35,000 plus fans with affordable ticket prices in downtown was electric. Home games now are lame in comparison frankly.

It sucks now, games are always empty.

The AT&T center is located in an awful area. It would've made more sense to put it in an area where other things to do are prevalent

alamo dome seats 50,000 plus not 35
SBC/ATT Center is too far away from downtown San Antonio it never has had the same feel/experience as the good ol Alamodome. Luckily I grew up being able to visit it a few times to see the spurs play and the Cowboys used to always have training camp there for a week. UTSA football has a good place there.
Great memories
I miss the Dome. I always liked it better than the SBC/AT&T Center

Yeah, I remember those Lakers-Spurs playoff games and having 30,000 in there screaming at the top of their lungs just felt more intimidating.
Love the Dome mane from Spurs to Alamobowl, Final fours off course the Fans RIP Red Mccombs
AD! Hope u have a great thanksgiving never forget getting ur autograph
The Alamodome was too big to host any basketball games, it sat between 60-70 thousand people, the Spurs would use like 1/3 or half of the arena when they used it… The city wanted the spurs to move to the east side so the population & real estate would grow in the area.. it didn’t work at first in the first 10-15 yrs when they moved to the AT&T Center… it was til after our last title in 2014 & remodeling of the AT&T center in 17’ the area started “gentrification” and continue to grow more.
The Alamodome was never the Spurs’ true home. It was a vanity project for a pie in the sky scenario where we got a football team. They didn’t even use the whole dome for the regular season games. They had to put up that weird curtain. People in the 300’s couldn’t see anything. If there was a way that we could get rid of the Dome and place a new state of the art basketball sized arena for the Spurs, that would be ideal. It would be right in the downtown area, with restaurants, bars, hotels, and the Riverwalk there. The best placement for a professional team.
I can’t wait for January I hope every seat in that place has an 🍑 in it Go SPURS Go I can’t wait til we have our next championship celebration there hopefully soon
Why would u only be at a stadium for only 10 years?

The arena was too big to host an NBA team, the Alamodome seats around 60-70 thousands people but the spurs would use like 1/3-1/2 of it when they moved there
The alamodome is quite ugly. for having a curtain inside the arena.
All of these people laughing and saying it was funny don't realize that a lot of people were injured. My father was badly injured and this event had an enormously negative impact on my family's life. It makes me sad and angry to see people, and especially folks involved with the team, saying it was hilarious
Why no captions on these videos?!?!? It's not difficult
After the first episode, I thought every next episode was going to be about the following championships. The last 2 episodes have been thoroughly boring lol Especially for the majority of us who knew that history already.

@@abn_tx You can buy the championship dvds for that... I live in Australia and I've been a hardcore spurs fan since 93. I love this history. All new to me. Wish I got to the Alamo Dome but I did get to the at&t centre for 2 games in 2008.. Dream come true!

@@Whos-That-Guy I have all the DVDs. The first episode brought a different and updated flavor to it seeing the current perspective on it. If you want San Antonio Spur history, there’s plenty of books and docs on all of it already. The last 2 episodes were boring as hell. But I should’ve expected that.
