Mystic is my color! 🎉my grandma taught me to love handmade treasures from knitting to quilting. She lived to be 98.

Visiting your grandma reminded me of when I visited mine decades ago. She knitted and I sewed. I have regretted that I didn’t get all her knitting and crocheting knowledge but at the time I was more into sewing. I made her a couple of dresses which had to be altered for her uneven shoulders so she was very happy to have them:)

Both of them knew how to knit, crochet and do embroidery, I miss them, it would be so nice sharing my passion with them.

As I always say crafting should be joyful, and since you already made a perfectly large blanket why suck the joy out of the project and force yourself to work on it longer? So glad you finished the temperature blanket early. It looks great. Until this year I've felt I had to finish something once I'd started it. This year I've changed my thinking and frogged things that weren't bringing me joy. Knitting should bring us happiness, not feel like a chore. I love the Mystique colourway.

I appreciate you sharing about your morning 30 mins of knitting. Since 2020, I've been trying to incorporate a routine of some form of crafting (knitting, diamond painting, card making, etc) with my morning coffee. It doesn't always get to 30 mins but it's the routine that I look forward to as well as the crafting. I am a new sock knitter and have just made myself some flip flop split toe socks so I can wear them with my sandals and they bring me so much joy that I’m hooked on me-made socks. My favourite sock set is the pink version - my favourite colour.
