After informing my girl only a day before that we had to move out of OUR apartment due to me not able to pay rent, we packed up everything we could and drove to SC to temporarily take shelter at her Mothers house. (Refer to Episode #176) After about a week of being there, trying to settle in and attempting to start finding work/…a violent situation erupts between my Mom in laws “husband” and my girl. Police get called & he leaves the house for a few days only to end up learning that he filed an eviction against us to have us removed from the home within the next 6 days! (Stay tuned for a story time on what EXACTLY happened) We voluntarily decide to leave before getting served. Our initial plan was to get to NYC to stay with family up North but an 8-hr car ride with two cats and a Mother with a bad knee just wasn’t going to be an option. The closest option was my Mom in laws father house located in NC which was only a 4 hr ride. We ended up renting out a truck the next day and packed up (again) taking whatever we could and left that night. 2 hours into our trip, we stopped at a Waffle House for food and arrived to our destination around 12am that night. The next day I unloaded the truck and worked on moving everything into the house. Reality is really settling in at this point as I recognize that I have set off a domino effect. Grateful beyond measure to have shelter and not be living on the street, I can’t help to think what happens next. Me, my mom, my wife and her grandparents all bunked in one house; located in a small town in the south of only 5k people full of nothing but elderly folks. Lord wtf did I start?????

This has been a wake up call to the dead life I use to live and the old person I was. I took my days and life for granted. Never again. NEVER AGAIN! Thanks for watching fam! Do you think you are cut out to join the military? That might be a way out for you. Go take the ASVAB test and see what your score is!

Thanks so much for the suggestion. This was actually once my dream long ago when I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with my life. Fortunately now that time has passed and I’ve gotten older, things have definitely changed for me and I’m more focus and driven than ever with a deeper purpose and value for life. Im excited to take on this journey and I look back now and realize why I wanted to join the military for exactly the suggestive reason you mentioned; for a way out and while I do understand that, that is in fact an option; it’s not for me. There are things that I want to take from the military and use them in my everyday life. But honestly the Military is not for me & I don’t just want a way out; I need a way IN. To fall and then rise . To understand the WHY in all of this. This eviction stems from something deeper within me and I’m choosing to battle this one out the civilian route. I appreciate this comment so much. Thanks so much for watching🙏🏿
