Episode 15 Making the Connection
Ойын-сауық
Richard and Dawson work on thier groundwork skills with a couple of sharp young colts. Creeks Rey is becoming an amazing colt and in this episode you'll see him start to settle in to the groundwork routine. Then the guys head out to pen a group of steers to sort.
Low Country Cowboys is your internet destination for ranch life, cowboys, cowgirls, great ranch horses, and just life outside. We are an American family living out our dream of living with horses, cows, and each other! Its not always easy or romantic, but we wouldn't trade it for anything. From starting colts, to training cutting, rope, ranch and rodeo horses, working cows, cooking, playing with the dogs, and raising wild deer!! This is a special life!!

“It’s our obligation” well said👏🏼👏🏼 such a great cowboy
"If you can't get a handle on the ground, you will not get a handle on their back." Very, very true. And so many people forget this; including me, every now and then. 😉
Its great to watch something thats calming, interesting, and just in general a lovely distraction

I absolutely adore your videos. Everything is beautifully edited and shot; and I love watching your subtle body language communications between yourself and the horses. I'd love to be able to work with horses in this capacity at some stage in my life. Thanks for putting these out for the world to see.

yeah, this global pandemic is terrible, so terrible that you have to be tested to see if you have it
It is easy to achive such a connection in the roundpen, but when you are just outside in the field with your horse, these methods will not work. Horse will just run away from you and no body language will help :). There you will need quite diffrent methods...

But these lessons set a positive base to build off so there is an easier transition when the horse moves out of the fences.

@@Alex-horsman my horse follows me even when hes on his fields, without saddle without everything on him. He chooses to be with me instead with his heard. I think it just depends on how much time you spend with bonding and how interesting work is with you? If a horse expects that he has a cool time with you and will stay safe he will choose youre side...
