I prefer the real ninja stuff but the mechs could be just as good the problem is the cgi I don't know why they use cgi ,keep the mechs but leave the animation to be sketched,drawn or whatever

Yep.. wasnt the suits supposed to augment their movements like in ep 6? Now theyre clunky and stupid.. The inconsistencies in this show 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷‍♂️

It would look better if they used some squash and stretch on the animation. Some of the movements don't read well with the low frame rate.

Looks like they finally put a little bit of effort into animating the mechs still looks janky tho.

extremely underrated show needs way more exposure

I remembered when this show was good. Good ole days

I’ve seen a lot of people not liking the mech element of the anime (which I understand). However, I think what people don’t realise is that this is anime articulates the clash of ideals amongst the characters from different eras, per se. This dynamic makes the anime special for me (and not others, perhaps). But I think it’s a well written anime thus far.

This show reminds me of the yasuke anime. They both had great concepts but failed to fully deliver. Its like they saw whats popular with anime and just mash em together to create them.

Yasuke did deliver. People are upset with the magic and mech from the anime! However the trailer was upfront about it and the creator did an interview 15 years diving into his influences. Mechs, magic, and 80’s/90’s anime were Lesean Thomas’s influences. In all of his works that plays a large role. Children of Ether, Cannon, busters, you get the gist. You can’t be upset with the show if the creator gives you a heads up. On that note it does have good dialogue, especially with the priest and Yasuke. Also, the African Shaman was a funny, and was clever on how they used him to foreshadow events. The psychic girl was integral to the plot as she represented the honor Yasuke once lost, but now how has a chance to reclaim it by serving the greater good instead of wallowing in his depression. Overall, it was enjoyable. It wasn’t the ronin story we expected, but it was a ronin story nonetheless l. Besides it’s has a 93% by critics in Rotten Tomatoes. Audience was 50%, so there seems to be a disconnect between what the audience expected, and critics. I disagree with your opinion, however you gave the right to feel like that

No, this anime is a promo for the game coming out this year

The mechs would have been better if they didn't glow and stuck to modern day military colors like black, brown, green, khaki. If they wanted to keep some Japanese themes, they could have put some Oni emblems in different shades of the mech suit but not make it glow. Ninja were Japanese commandos of guerilla warfare so they should not attract too much attention.

Any thoughts and opinions on ep 13 for this anime? Cause I'm not sure how to feel about it after watching it, i thought it was a bit decent but it could've been way more better if they had better animation budget for the mechs or honestly it would've been way more better without the mechs

Everyone’s reaction seems to be “…eh” Probably thee best A.S. Original yet anime wise but still got some ways to go. My honest opinion. When it shined, it glistened. When it was Clunky, it was Crappy. If we uploaded these mech fights in 60fps I honestly think it look really slick (like attack on titan S4). Without that enhancement, it was a decent ride with a decent story and interesting twists. Way better than Housing Complex C and FLCL sequels. Hopefully a S2 will happen or Lazarus can up the anti further.

Didn't think I would get into this but looking like I was wrong

(Spoilers) Powerful story - masterful choreography, and a beautiful soundtrack. With Takashi Okazaki, creator of Afro Samurai at the helm creating character designs, and Sunghoo Park - director of Jujutsu Kaisen behind the lens of Ninja Kamui - a classic has been created. I deeply connect with the characters. I love the 00's vibe artwork which is expertly executed, tastefully familiar, yet a breath of fresh air on the other hand. The dynamic of the characters drew me in and made me feel something special. Mari, Emma, Zai - all of the engaging character dynamics, the plot twists & story unfolding simultaneously through flashbacks & current happenings earned my respect. To create high tech armor which connects to the user's subconscious mind this way is an original concept and perfectly ornaments this over the top shinobi world. Fusing both the use of technology with the secret arts rather than utilizing one more than the other was very necessary to overcome the dystopia & feels right given Higan's adaptability as a shinobi - which includes keeping undisclosed his knowledge of more than 1 secret art. Park is carving his name among the masters in anime creation. Beyond just the expert choreography, Ninja Kamui is a story about the power of love, multiple chances at redemption, transcending demons, forging the right way to live in peace, and disobeying false prophets preaching unsound concepts, which are juxtaposed with true codes of honor 🖊

Because you can't give us that fights that happened in 1 and 2 and then double down are cgi fights that look OK, but don't hold a candle to the first couple of fights in the series

God i wish the suits would have been animated in 2D they would have looked AMAZING...

The mech fights are okay but i hope it ends with them out of the suits

This isn't the worst fight I've seen but what bothers me is how slow they are they're supposed to highly trained warriors but with how this is animated it makes bionicle look like a high budgeted series

After the finale, unlike what the comments say, I had fun watching this show :) Plus when Higan told Yamaji in the beginning of this episode clip "This is the end of the Ninja."? I always pretend that was me with both a sword and a blaster cannon telling the leader of both Scooby-Doo! and Hanna-Barbera fandoms that this is the end of the old cartoons XD lol.

Can we get these mech fights in 60fps somehow? Betcha look way cleaner in CGI and not so….clunky. (Did with Eren vs the Warhammer)

Welp.. this is a complete departure from Episode 1 🤔 Stylistically

At this point I am only watching because I started. Not really feeling this anymore. *shrugs*

God these Mech suits truly have killed the buzz of the show for everyone. If the animators could’ve removed them entirely I’d feel less people would complain about it so much. It’s still took effort to make these fights and design the suits, but I suppose this is the power rangers effect in this show.

To be honest I don't see a second season coming thru .

It was more enjoyable, for me, before the suits. The hand to hand combat scenes were kinda nice.

I was starting to get tired of the regular combat, I'm so glad they introduced the suits - really gave the series the edge it needed to further the storyline. bravo!

Well, this was a complete embarrassment. The first 2 episodes were stuffed with confident, imaginative fights, and the finale is complete amateur hour that doesn't even leverage any of the previously seen cool supernatural powers, exotic weapon techniques, or high tech gadgets.

This show went downhill after they introduced the Mechs...and I'm a fan of mecha anime :/ The storyline still had some interesting moments towards the end but I feel like the final battle would've benefited from the ninja style that captivated us since the beginning. Other than that I hope there is a season 2 and better fights develop.
