This show couldve been legendary. They dropped the ball hard

It actually is. Iirc most of the 2d fights were done by the same guy who did Solo Leveling, out of a studio he founded, he just couldn’t make as many storyboards as he thought he could so another department took over the animation.

Remember when this show was starting out. It had the theme of Old traditions vs New progress & breaking away & starting anew

This show had a really good start and plot, but a very weak finale. I understand the gusoku gear and I think it made the show interesting, but it kind of just turned into the reliant force for every character. And then you have the boss, who was able to kind of hold his own against a gusoku suit, only to then get his own and then see what was essentially almost a power decrease. He had weight as a character and you turned him into episode 9 revived palpatine. Just too reliant on his suit and the powers it grants, less on his actual skill. You made him a generic bad guy. It would have been way better to see them fight outside of their gusoku gear, have a fight about ideals in both combat and voice

Stiff 3d animation. Like the Berserk anime. They need to use the Arc systems works graphics engine for their 3d animation.

Tbh they lost the plot with the introduction of those mecha suits. Episode 1 was just pure gold. After that it just gradually declined and those suits was the final nail in the coffin.

Allows them to have samurai esque fights while also landing blows that aren’t immediately fatal. You have to ask yourself why the suits are there and would the fight be better without them. How many fight scenes have you seen where two “evenly matched” opponents parry 1000 blows and land 1 to win. This lets them take some blows parry some and still have a decisive finish.

I hope they make a season two out of this because it is a good show

I will say the final fight was a bit lacking compared to the 2D fights, but overall it wasn't that bad. Still enjoyed it.

The best part was when Hegan dropped the cgi off into a lake. 10/10

Or other anime with cgi like: Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex series. I didn't complain when I saw for the first time years ago.

Non the less i love it!

The CG fights could have been cool! If they detailed it better, maybe did some smudge work to make things flow better, but everything is as stiff at 2016 Berserk fighting. And its hard to look at with the 15 frames per second animation. I know they probably had little to work with, but come on man.

Was there ever a reason why the leader's eye looked all weird and Naruto like? Also why was his power earlier in the show stopping those two ninjas in mid air with an invisible hand, that was never used again. Was... was that supposed to be the mind illusions shown? That fight scene didn't even make sense in the way it was a dream and where people were supposed to be. What a mess lmao.

That short fight between Mike and his old partner was a pretty cool moment. Regardless of what else could be said about this series, Mike was definitely my favorite character in it.

You have a chance to watch on a back to back marathon. This weekend the first 6 or 7 episodes and later the rest of the episodes.

The one thing that I didn't like at Ninja Kamui is, it's just not that long, it's kinda short, so please add another villain and make it the stronger than Yamaji, Higan and Zai combined.💀

(Spoilers) Powerful story - masterful choreography, and a beautiful soundtrack. With Takashi Okazaki, creator of Afro Samurai at the helm creating character designs, and Sunghoo Park - director of Jujutsu Kaisen behind the lens of Ninja Kamui - a classic has been created. I deeply connect with the characters. I love the 00's vibe artwork which is expertly executed, tastefully familiar, yet a breath of fresh air on the other hand. The dynamic of the characters drew me in and made me feel something special. Mari, Emma, Zai - all of the engaging character dynamics, the plot twists & story unfolding simultaneously through flashbacks & current happenings earned my respect. To create high tech armor which connects to the user's subconscious mind this way is an original concept and perfectly ornaments this over the top shinobi world. Fusing both the use of technology with the secret arts rather than utilizing one more than the other was very necessary to overcome the dystopia & feels right given Higan's adaptability as a shinobi - which includes keeping undisclosed his knowledge of more than 1 secret art. Park is carving his name among the masters in anime creation. Beyond just the expert choreography, Ninja Kamui is a story about the power of love, multiple chances at redemption, transcending demons, forging the right way to live in peace, and disobeying false prophets preaching unsound concepts, which are juxtaposed with true codes of honor 🖊

The fight in the last episode was a bit disappointing because it used cgi 😔😔

I hate the mech suit one. preferred the fight early in the story. Appreciate the work, but wish they didn't introduce those suit.

This show was show much greater without the gundum kairai suits man, it detour away from the element we gotten in the first few episodes. That hidden urban street ninja assassin style vibe was nice . Show lost me with this
