Definitely. I've always been puzzled that it was apparently so traumatic to him to be treated like a _young man_ rather than a child on that occasion. Emotional unavailable can be really difficult too. And its not bc they mean to be that way, but it pissibly bc they walled emotional vulnerability off due to trauma or something they went thru long b4 they met you, and you mistook it as stoatism. The two can look very similar, and if the two get along really well you wont know there's an issue till youve already been together for many years.

She had been written out of her 2 mins an episode Suits show, she did not own a house, she did not have a fortune in the bank and no one knew who she was!!! She gave up nothing but boy did she gain!!! She was nearly 40 hadn't broken into the acting world and there was no hope of her doing that, didn’t have any jobs lined up, went to London to plead for a role in Made in Chelsea but was rejected! Asked Lizzie Cundy to introduce her to several wealthy famous men who all said no. Then with a lot of manouvering managed to snag hapless Harry, love didn’t come into it! It was a means to an end!!!!

I think that may be the case now, but I don't think it has always been so. Harry had two long-term girlfriends so I wouldn't say he wasn't able to form connections with women. As far as his wife is concerned, the Queen is on record as saying that Harry was "perhaps a little over-in-love with Meghan", and in Lady C's book she writes of him being "limerent" about Meghan, which is a form of rare obsessional love that affects around 5% of the population. She provides many examples of Harry's pre-wedding behaviour that supports the view that he was obsessed.

It is sad that Princess Diana died…it is sad that her sons had to attend her funeral….my father lost every family member during the Holocaust…not one member survived…he put himself through college…got married and had a family. I agree that he does articulate his true feelings, but that they are not necessarily "true". Instead they are based on his perception of an event, which is not necessarily the reality. For example, it isn't true that the Press won't stop until they've killed his wife - that is his paranoid perception. It isn't true that his life is paralleling that of his mother - again, that is his paranoid perception. It isn't true that the step-mother he was once very fond of plotted and planned her way to the throne. When Cheere summarised the chapters of Spare I noticed a few stories cropping up which Harry had told in his pre-Meghan days, but there had been perceptual changes. Whereas before he'd found them amusing, now he was seeing events through a far darker lens with his family members as deliberate perpetrators of pain.

Harry's wife has took over the two things that Harry holds dear, Africa and the Invictus Games. SHE has made them her own!!! Doormat springs to mind.

Yeah, the exaggerated open-mouth grin and crinkled-up eyes is definitely Meghan’s favorite camera face. I think it’s her idea of her “fun and sexy” face. Somewhere there’s a video of “Suits” outtakes and it’s full of the Fun and Sexy face. I guess that most of us, if we one day decided that we were sooo beautiful that we could maybe build a life on it, would spend some time posing in front of the mirror - but I suspect that posing in front of the mirror became Meghan’s hobby from a young age.

Without doubt, and I think his family became very aware of it, too. Harry has whined that the press made him out to be a thicko, but that isn't true. I had no idea what Harry's academic level was until he went free-range in the US. That is when it became evident that he had really poor critical thinking skills. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the reason he suddenly thought himself intellectually capable was because that was one of the flattery hooks inserted into him by his wife, with other hooks addressing and soothing his personal hang-ups until he felt like Mr Universe. MM is clearly far brighter and more mature than Harry in every way. I disliked her from that moment. It was vulgar, tacky and indiscreet. I shuddered and I knew she was trouble. Harry has told her family secrets. She will use that information whether married, divorced or widowed, to make money. I predict she will publish a book days before William's Coronation. By asking if Harry is "nice", she was inferring that she herself was nice. The engagement interview confirmed my opinion of her. A middle aged woman pretending to be a cute naive young woman. I said that she would not stay in the UK because she wanted her Disney princess court in the USA where she could be queen bee and not have to walk behind anyone. Marrying him would magically endow her with talent and popularity. How did that go for you Markle? She planned to use the race card to get back to the USA as soon as she knew that she had her talons in him, before they were engaged.

Either way Harry and Megain are obsessed about making themselves the victim…Who could forget the extra sausage and not sharing the lip gloss in spare…

All of their complaints, bar the charge of racism, are mind-bogglingly immature and superficial. In the Oprah interview we had two adults, one approaching 40, the other nearly 37, whining that they had to make ends meet on his mothers multi-million pound inheritance because his father wasn't going to continue to drop him one or two £million each year. Neither of them claimed to be capable of getting a therapist, and one of Harry's gripes was that his grandmother cancelled a meeting they'd scheduled. They whined on and on about how a 73yr old father and 94yr old granny hadn't done enough to help them. At their age, it should have been the other way round. They should have been asking what they could do to help the ageing members of their family. Then, as you say, we had the extra sausage, the lip gloss, and - horror! - Harry getting the smaller side of the Balmoral bedroom he shared with William.

As a child I was very close to my Mother and if she had died 2 weeks before my 13th birtday I would had been devastated. I think I would have wanted to walk behind her casket, (we do it in church for funerals). I would have wanted to be close to her. Also, I think I would have appreciated crowds coming to her funeral. I am no longer 13, this could just be my adult mind. My mother died in a nursing home and I stayed with her until the undertaker came; when he was ready to leave I told him I would accompany him on the elevator. He was none to pleased but he couldn't refuse. When he was ready to put her in the vehicle I said goodbye. As an adult, maybe Harry could take another view of that day, a loving gesture accompany his Mum on her last journey.

She's obsessed with secrecy - I think she feels it makes her powerful to know something that other people don't know. No wonder the early dating phase was so exciting for them; she was in her element, carrying on like some International Woman of Mystery, fooling the whole world. It was also a very unreal, artificial sort of environment - Harry couldn't really know who Meghan was, because they were basically playing out an exciting fantasy. Much of the fun came from thinking that they knew a secret and everyone else around them was in ignorance.

She’s been doing it for decades.

The RF were sent a random email from not Netflix but some random unverified production company the day before this mockumentary was released. They had no opportunity to respond. Also, M is pictured holding a copy of a US tabloid with Catherine on the cover speculating about the pregnancy with George on the cover on the Tig (her blog) & wrote about William & Catherine’s wedding at the time on her blog… but she didn’t know about the RF, William, Harry, Diana…

They’re both arrested emotionally like children so the idea that they could ‘be silly’ together to them sounds awesome. To mature adults who know what a real relationship is and takes this is ridiculous from the start.

I think Harry now knows that he F’ed up. He looks miserable, while she has that constant weird grin, as she grips onto Harry tightly.

MM surely bought groceries when she filmed Suits in Toronto. As a Canadian, I can assure you that several magazines at alll the grocery check-out tills alllll cover the Royal Family (whom we adores) allll the time. Believe NOTHING that comes out of MM's mouth, except that one time when she giggled and coyly said, "I'm such a liar." Bulls-eye on that one.

Ok, I groaned when you announced you were doing this series. So far it is entertaining. Their narrative is based on the premise they decided to escape. I have no proof, but, I think Queen Elizabeth II was resigned to the fact that these two people were determined to wreak havoc on the monarchy and her family. She saw that Charles would do nothing to curb the destruction and she kicked their ass out and then decided to give them a probation period which they failed.❤

How it all came out was because she pressured him to release a statement on the Royal website to please leave his girlfriend alone. Up until then she was dropping hints on instagram the whole time.,This statement was just removed last week from the website. No other girlfriend got this special treatment

Please know that the boys were given the choice of walking behind Diana’s coffin Harry opted too when he knew 15 yr old William was going to., he said that at the time he wanted to support his brother . Knowing now how jealous he was of William, I tend to think he just didn’t want to be left out , after all he ignored her last phone call , bit like he dismissed his last chance to see QE2, too busy ….and please the ‘ girl ‘ who agreed to the tent in Botswana was a divorced/ in a relationship nearing 40 actresses just written out of a series , they really play to the lowest bar ….another edit , she dropped endlesss hints she was dating him ! If I’m honest dating would have been enough, to raise her profile , she didn’t bank on his desperation to be part of a couple . I doubter her from the start the fact she still had her US PR heavily involved ,she played his vulnerability and now the provable lies , her vanity and his stupidity will sink them ….

Recommend ‘The Housekeepers Diary ‘ by Wendy Berry . Former Housekeeper at Highgrove . Incredibly revealing re Charles and Diana’s behaviour leading up to the divorce . Their Mother would regularly have ‘dinner on a tray ‘ with William alone and have Harry taken by the Nanny , kind of a bargaining tool in the upcoming divorce. Ie future King but I’ll take him whenever I want . Once they were divorced Charles had every inch of the house redecorated as it had been so toxic . Apparently

I almost didn’t watch this as I thought I’d be subjected to too many clips from the show. So pleased I decided to. There are few people who can make me really chuckle just with their facial expressions, you are one of them! As always with your reviews a perspicacious and intelligent narrative. Thank you!

He can articulate because he was probably telling the true, whereas his wife was pretending all the time.

Harry is torn, I don’t think he ever thought he would ever get punished by his father ,the way he did, as he was spoilt rotten in the family, they covered up for his behaviour as a young boy. Obviously he wants all the respect & financial gain, he used to have, he’s so jealous, now especially of William, that’s what he wanted before he married the narcissist, but he still hasn’t got it, she mothers him, that’s all he wants, it’s like an Oedipus complex.He really needs professional help , he’s all over the place. and is suffering with terrible guilt.You can’t have it all Harry.😂

Ok so he didn’t know he had bodyguards and his schoolmates don’t? What a buncha 💩 of course he was told his grandmother was THE QUEEN‼️

A lot of channels that cover Harry & Meghan have had problems with people being unsubscribed, not getting notifications of new videos, etc. it appears the situation is slowing improving.

This is a fantastic breakdown. Very realistic and accurate. 10/10

Angry about him being on time ugh! Yet they were late in their little tour of Nigeria to events that supposedly supported or were trying to support their causes.

They thought they were going to be the modern day John & Yoko. Look at their copying of J&Y's photobooth b/w pics in thumbnail!. i.e. American woman snags popular British man and is thus brutalised by the tabloids so they both flee to good ol' US where they're 'understood' by a more accepting culture. 'Those crusty old Brits just couldn't understand her modern ways y'all!' Although Britain is a radically different place today than it was 50 years ago -- so it doesn't work. And at least John had a grass roots connection to people. Harry may have at one point - but it was manufactured.

I am glad you are doing this review. I have seen a few others also review the mockumentary, but I always enjoy your thoughts on things. Also, it saves Netflix from getting additional numbers of views from people like me who can't abide watching them, and don't want them (Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mountbatten Windsor) to succeed and profit from what is so obviously a story of lies, hypocrisy, and nastiness.

I notice Harry is in the Windsor Suite at the airport at the beginning ( and MM used in her stopover to Nigeria where she waited for H). The hypocracy!! Stop using the RF and all the benefits if you’re continuing to trash them. Awful people!!🥵

She's definitely suffered for our benefit, I saw some of the netflix series but didn't stomach all of it, I saw a lot via the body language guys, they tore it apart! It made me very angry, from the mock curtsey, to the critique of the commonwealth, the guest speakers trying to bad mouth the UK, Chris Bouzy, the lies, Doria, the niece Ashley who seemed completely hoodwinked, it was incredibly contrived and you came away disliking them more than before!

So excited you're covering this "documentary" - a.k.a The Ultimate Royal Rom Com, written and directed by and starring Meghan Markle.

Yes, please, Cheere, crank em out! I love your take on relationships because you are so grounded and also blunt when it is necessary. You and Shauna of Vintage Read are my faves. It is so weird to watch Meghan lie. She thinks she is good at it, but she is not. I remember the original real narrative, put out by an acquaintance, maybe innocently but probably not, of how M&H really met. Meghan is working this Ralph Lauren event for two days. On the first day she meets Violet Von Westenholtz. She finds out about her close connection with Prince Harry going back to childhood, later that evening. On the second day, she asks Violet to set her up. She asks to see Harry’s private IG. Violet gives Harry Meghan’s curated IG, complete with fun times and fake good works in Africa. He likes what he sees. He decides to share his IG, and to go on the blind date. Of course, Meghan has to obscure the stalking, so she produces this narrative that leaves out the fact she was the instigator, or conniving manipulator, if you will. She definitely tries to cover her manipulations.

What truly boggles the mind is the total immaturity of Harry and Meghan and how two such individuals could find each other. They both behave like pubescent adolescents.

I think before the marriage she thought there would be the half in, half out plan that the Queen would agree to . They could go do all the celebrity stuff in Hollywood and come back for all the public festivities and tiara wearing State Dinners. Just not for the boring day to day meet and greets.

I think the silences in Meghans speech allowing your creativity to fill in the spaces is deliberate so that you will project your own feelings and thoughts into the gaps and will identify with her. I think its a manipulative way of being relatable
