    My sister (who is a big Tablo fan) told me he wrote this song for the lgbt community. I'm a christian without remedy, but I love this song with all my heart. Society and christians are no one to tell people that God doesn't love them for having a different sexual orientation. I believe He loves us no matter what, but gosh, we don't even know. We know nothing. I'm so happy this song exists, someone needed to say all this things. Also, this line is just wow: "Is it okey to throw stones if you're without sin? Isn't throwing a stone a sin itself?" ♥.

    At one time Tablo used to be known as a devout Christian. But after he went through Tajinyo scandal which was a terrible ordeal, he answered that he didn't have a religion when a fan asked. I think this song may give some hints to guess what happened in his heart. Sorry for being so chatty lol I just want to share some helpful facts to appreciate this song with international fans cause this is my favorite from the album like many of you :) It is so deep and still open to various interpretations.

    Really? This is interesting. I knew him as a Christian, and many of his songs had religious themes. Did he really change his religion because of the Tanjinyo? Or was he just saying that because he didn't want to answer? That incident really wounded him to the core, if he changed religious views because of it.

  • @Nologo6

    @Nologo6

    Driftingg Yep clearly he was a Christian. As you said, he revealed in an old interview that he even considered some of his songs as CCM. I don't think he gave an evasive answer cause it was himself who picked the very question out of numerous others during Q&A on twitter. Before the hiatus caused by the incident he never had made such comment regarding his religion so it surprised many fans. But still I can't assure 100% that Tajinyo was the direct reason to change his views because until he makes a clear remark, all fans can do is guess :p

    Yea I've known tablo is a Christian. I'm a Christian too n so I've always loved epik high n tablo when putting God in some songs... Well referring to him in a way but Hearing this song made me feel sad for him n weird about the song. And reading the comments of wat this songs means makes more sense to me but Wat was that incident about that everyone mentions?? I don't know about that. Can some one tell me wat happened to him please. I love the song in a weird way except it makes me uncomfortable hear tablo saying God doesn't love him... I just want to understand.

His life was totally ruined and his dad, the one who Tablo loves most, passed away due to stress. It was one of the worst scandals that ever happened in kpop industry. Religion is one of the main reasons there's war.. Everyone fights for what they believe, this song is pretty powerful. its best to believe in yourself. But that's just my opinion. Soldiers pray for their enemies to die and enemies do the same thing? Is this what God wants? Or that's just our selfish wish. Oh well. Believe in yourself and achieve higher. Epik high rocks.

    I think the fact that people believe in something strongly enough to start a war is astonishing and I think it's actually an indicator towards the existence of God. If people want to defend their views so bad that they would withstand executions and not deny him even when a gun is pointed at their head is amazing to me. I'm not saying that war is good and that's what God wants - i think that war is less a product of religion and more a product of people who are brave enough to fight for the truth to be known. This is just my opinion though :)

    I can't believe still there are people who hate this song because it "disrespects" god? We don't know if god who rules the universe loves us or not, but there is a god everyone know that hates us. We face this god every day, since the moment we wake up till we close our eyes again. We face him on streets, we see him at work, we feel his stares on ourselves. That "god" sometimes dress up as a stranger, sometimes as a priest, sometimes as a friend or a family member but all share a similar trait: hate. They write religions, create laws, then come to us and say we are sinners. They abandon us, hurt and torture because we are "others". We only want to love and believe, how can you say someone with these pure emotions are dirty? How we are the sinners while ones who torture us aren't?

    These lyrics are so deep and emotional As a former christian, these words are so relatable, especially how religion estranged my relationship with my dad's family (His mum, dad, siblings, cousins) He hasn't spoken to them now for over 10 years and suffered mentally and emotionally. If God exists, why did he make me into an atheist? Because God doesn't love me.

  • @melblack

    @melblack

    9 жыл бұрын

    he loves you! God doesn't turn anyone into an atheist. It´s your choice. He gave every person A CHOICE. We can change our life, we can change the system, the world everything (If we really want to, just look at the french revolution or even the apartheid regime) We have such a might, but many people believe it´s nothing worth or god doesn't help. If god helped people would complain that they aren't allow to do anything. It´s in our hands, everything. I'm sorry for what happens to your family. There are happening so many bad things, the world is insane. But don't think god doesn't love you. He loves everyone! He can't show it, but he does. He can't change people. If he would change people we couldn't do anything. And that´s what we are proud of, right? Being an individiuum. It started when Jesus sacrifised himself for the people. He died for everyone. (that´s why this whole you-aren't-allowed-to-be-gay or whatever is shit, because it´s not a sin or anything like this) I don't want to convince anybody. I just find it horrible that people think god doesn't love me/ somebody. (no, not you or any person..because of the things that happened to make people say "god doesn't love me") Of course we feel like this sometimes or very often. We think, why did it happen to us. Why us? Why me? But always keep in mind, if bad things wouldn't happen then you wouldn't appreciate good things. But in the end everything will be alright. If it´s not alright, it´s not the end.

    missxxmel Thanks for your word of sentiment, believe me I was a devout christian at one point in my life. I've gone to several missionary trips around Australia spreading at the time what I thought was the "right" message. "He died for everyone. (that´s why this whole you-aren't-allowed-to-be-gay or whatever is shit, because it´s not a sin or anything like this)" This is one excerpt I will take from your reply. I see that you are a christian 'apologist" meaning that you obscure the real authentic literature in the bible to try and suit your moral taste. I can't lie to myself when I can see plain and simple that being gay is a sin and taboo. The bible mentions 5 times that we shouldn't eat prawn. "But I like prawn! I'll eat it anyway" This is one of many examples where christian in today's age choose to pick which words to follow and which not to. I don't want to live as a hypocrite, following a book which contradicts itself time and time again. However I am atleast glad that you ARE indeed a christian apologist The muslim fundamentalists in today's age follow the qua-ran in its authentic text. One of these dangerous ideas is the holy war. "Fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward" These passages depicting the holy war starves for the world to end as the quaran preaches that their faith is the last faith this world will see. What are the consequences? Terror bombings, blowing up childrens school, discrimination against women, honor rape, the list goes on. What do you think will happen if the bible was taken in a literal sense in today's society?

    Isn't it weird? Some of the most devout Christians turn into non-believers, and some of the most commited sinners turn into the most commited Christians. Every Christian has their story to how they took the wrong path, how they turned away, how the just stopped talking to God. You never know if this is all temporary, or if it's forever. Sometimes they go back and sometimes they keep on walking away, but in the end it was ALL your choice not his.

I was always trying to hold back my tears. I'm starting to doubt myself. Am i the one that's really wrong? Is it all my fault for loving another woman? When my sister asks me with that snarled lip and disgusted voice if i "agree with all the lgbt stuff" i can't even speak. But i have to betray myself and shake my head no. But the lines are blurring now. Am i really lying now when im saying i don't like myself? It's so lonely. Will anyone even see this? Will anyone care? Will it be just another angsty comment to you? Well this is my life. This is Real. Even if it is my fault that im this way, it hurts. Can anyone tell me why the world is so cruel? Sometimes i want to rip my heart right out of my chest and yell at it why it betrayed me and fell in love the wrong way.

    Kalyrie Wells there's absolutely nothing wrong with you. You're okay, you'll be okay! I hope you stay strong...I can't even imagine your situation right now, cause I'm straight and my parents are really open minded, but I hope you stay strong. This world is extremely, cruel, yes...homophobic, racist, misogynist...there's a lot wrong in this world, but never loose hope. Again, stay strong ❤ I'm sure you're an awesome person who deserves only good things.

    this song is way too deep..I think it represents all kinds of mistreatment, from politics to religion and from all kinds of discrimination to injustice we see in our world. I would never say something like "god doesn't love me neither do I(which makes me kind of uncomfortable)" but I kind of understand his reasoning and I do respect that view as well because this is what this song is about..It's about accepting people as they are and respecting their decisions..You can warn them but you can't force them or bully them. Corruption is why we are suffering, misusing religion, politics, laws, beliefs and feelings of other people is the root of our problems because the core of all of those is pure.

    Lee Young Yae 이영예 One of my favorite ways to look at it. If you ask Him for something, it would be way too easy for him to just hand it to you. It means so much more if he gives you the opportunity to achieve it yourself. I feel a father's job is to teach you and give you the tools to learn yourself so you can be stronger. Handing you something will not make you stronger. Also, one of my favorite things I've heard is that: "When people feel God is unfair, unjust or has done something wrong they are quick to blame him, but when he's done something right, they're not sure he's done anything at all..."

    One fact I would like to layout is that this song is part of the album that followed immediately after a terrible and tragic incident. Some idiot claimed that Tablo faked his education status with though he had no proof or whatsoever. Tablo was cyber-bullied and hunted for being a liar. It was so severe, Koreans described this incident as 'witch-hunted Tablo.' He couldn't even work or go for a casual walk without suffering a commotion. His father, who was just recovering from cancer, watched all the fake-reports about him and hateful accusations. From extreme stress, his cancer got worse and he passed away. This song is part of the first album he released in years after his father's funeral. People gaining strength from the song who's struggling about their identity? It's cool. But I'm not so sure about using an artist's pain as a propaganda, which is what I'm seeing in 'few' of the comments. I'm mainly trying to add some information about the song's background.

    How I interpret is, the song as a whole is critiquing those who point fingers at other people for their beliefs even though they aren't perfect either. The first verse critiques the big religious debate and how (some) religious people will condemn people for not having the same beliefs as them. The second is critique on organized religion, in general, and how people will blindly follow certain faiths even if it's destructive to them/others. The third verse is basically a sums up Tablo's view on these people, "They make you hold guns & knives instead of hands" which makes me believe it might be about ISIS,from the viewpoint of a Christian since they were big on the news during the time EPIK HIGH was recording.

    Tablo tweeted that "I wrote 'Amor Fati' for people who are mistreated because they were born the way they are." So I believe the song is about homosexuals who are persecuted by society and religion. Considering the phrase "We are perfectly fitting pieces for different puzzles", 'You' might refer to the narrator's lover.

    The first line "God doesn't love me." Is more of a reference to what the narrator believes of themselves, instead of really knowing what God thinks. God is just an abstract deity, the narrator cannot possibly understand the mind of God. They simply feel like God has abandoned them, or hates the way they are. "Well, neither do I." is the line that highlights their self hatred. So what the song really hits the core of is a sort of self-loathing, which is caused by believing that there is something wrong/broken about themselves, as well as being condemned by other people who think they are a "sinner" for being the way they are. Ironically, the people throwing stones at sinners are being sinners themselves. The song also talks about being sold "answers" which are dangerous. This can mean organized religion, or just society in general selling people ideas about whats the correct way to be, or selling beliefs that are just followed blindly. The last line "We are the others." Sort of wraps up the idea about how this song is about people who are considered outliers in society. Outliers can mean anything really, I think those who feel it in themselves will understand that feeling instantly. You could have trouble fitting in, have a disability, be homosexual, or just cannot relate to people around you. Anything.
