i think from "is you happy" onward is quiet poetic. i mean it starts talking to someone who is living just to achieve material goals and from them a social position asking to them but refering them as they were an object. then it repeats it but more than as a critic as a question to a peer. and we all know taeyans is rich as but the line after "are you happy" is "'couse baby i wish i was" and yes, this can be the start of the line "i wish i was rich" but is also a sentece in itself and can be about how even tho he's rich and we all laugh because he's singing he wish he was rich he maybe is not happy (or not all the time) and maybe, as at the end of the song is mentioned, we should be trying to be rich in our hearts rather than in our appereance

If you read the lyrics, you will notice that he's not really talking about money. Being rich comes in many aspects...I guess he was trying to say that richness = Happiness, like " I wish I was happy " .

Actually, he used grammatical error on purpose. 3 seconds after the verse "Is you happy?", Taeyang repeats the same question, but is using "Are you happy?" Clearly, there are meanings behind why Tablo chooses to do so :D even though I don't really know why, LOL-pardon me!!!!

tablo may write the lyrics but it also depends on the singer's choice so since taeyang english isnt that well i think thats why tablo did it on purpose.For someone who was raise in america against someone who was raise in korea are two different things xD but idk i could be wrong i just think people would let it slide since its taeyang

I think it was intentional. Although I don't also know why. I've been wondering about that one ever since the album was released. Or maybe it was because too many people rushes things in order to achieve their materialistic dreams that they make mistakes along the way and that's why the word "is" is used instead of "are."

Haha, they don't mean rich as in money and fortune - but rich as in happiness and content you get from living your dreams or the life you want to live. A rich, fulfilling life with meaning and lasting memories - not a bucket list thats just a 'shopping list' or memories being just photos, instagrams and snapshots which are the trends these days - and like trends the memories comes and passes easily too. "I wish I was rich" ~ tablo's telling us to max out our dreams rather than look for answers in materialistic possessions and reputations etc...

One line says, "I only dream on weekends," which means that he is living his dream through his work from Monday through Friday and then when the weekend comes, he dreams of going back to work on Monday. It's ironic, because most people live for the weekend when the weekend is 2 days out of a 7 day week. There is also some sarcasm in the song when they rap about being jealous and calling themselves, "losers" when people show off fashion trends from New York and Paris yet never been there before (passport with no stamps).
