One of their heavier songs, this is Lulu's 3rd reaction to this band, Kathy missed one. The wall of death moshpit usually starts this song. Title track to the 2005 2nd album, it is often used as the show closer. This performance was in Amsterdam last year. Kathy , the the clean and harsh vocal combination you liked is used a lot in EPICA songs, it is sometimes referred to as Beauty and the Beast.

I concur.

Simone Simons has a beautiful voice. I usually don't like "cookie monster" vocals but I don't mind it with Epica. Other songs to check out are Martyr of the Free World, Storm the Sorrow, The Obsessive Devotion and Sancta Terra, where Simone sings a duet with Floor Jansen.

Abyss of Time, another great Epica I would recommend listening to for this channel.

I second this. That should be their next reaction.

Not everyone likes harsh vocals but if you liked this one, then you're "safe" with all other Epica songs as they have less growling and more singing by Simone. I second the suggestion for Unleashed (Live at the AFAS Live) and Chasing the Dragon (Retrospect Live), but for this one you should find a video uploaded by Jubran as it has subtitles in it, so you can read the lyrics while watching the performance.

Go back in time to their 10th anniversary Retrospect show from 2013. It is a 3 hour show with full orchestra and choir and it is fantastic. I suggest Unleashed and Chasing the Dragon as a good place to start

That's actually one of my least favorite Epica songs any more, probably because 90% of the time it's requested is only because Floor is in it. Epica has so many better songs that show what THEY can do so well, vs that song that is only wanted because of Floor. Just my 2¢.

@@lw3918 It's a good duo, and I was a Nightwish fan before Epica (obviously since they have been around longer), but I personally think Epica has evolved faster and further than Nightwish has. Every time Sancta Terra get requested Floor is mentioned. It's not requested as a great song, it's requested with her name every time. That's why it's turned kinda meh for me.

I had seen these guys in tiny Montpellier club in November 2008. Check their 'Chasing the Dragon" dedicated to one of Johnny Depp movies.

More Epica? Well, if it isn't one of the 3 you folks have already heard, then I might suggest The Skeleton Key. And because of Lulu's love for hair and costuming, I would suggest the Official Music Video (not a concert version) (the concert versions are fine. excellent even. BUT the music video is where the bucks go into the hair and sequins ; )

I have seen them live 6 times or something. Every time I'm like ok maybe I've heard it all with this band, always nice music but do I really need a new album. But their latest releases are just great, so yes of course I bought them.

Well y’all got about 20 more EPICA songs to hear Kingdom of heaven songs are 3 13 minute songs very EPIC ..Unleashed.. Storm the sorrows… Resign to surrender…The second Stone …Tides of time … Canvas of life on and on so many

The epica consign to oblivion live at the zenith in Paris video is the better version of this song live. I don't know if the subscriber chose this version but most watch the live at the zenith in Paris Kathy. Just letting you know. Wintersun Alex ❤️

Simone Simons has a really clean singing voice when it comes to her mezzo soprano style of singing it’s like listening to crystal clear water.

Haven't they done it yet? Then yeah, while on a Dutch roll they HAVE to react to Focus - Hocus pocus, live in that tv show 1973 I think....legendary! 🤣

It is a shame you racted to this version and not the legendary Live at Zenith Paris. This one at AFAS you reacted to is okay but as far as this performance goes Simone and the band never got to even remotely the magic they did in Paris.

But just I'm just thinking of the faces you'll make when you react to the wintersun suggestions I've given you.🫶😁❄️
