I caught a shiny Moltres while hunting for a shiny Vulpix today. I encountered 2 shiny porygons, a raticate and then soon after had the Moltres spawn. I had to use 4 golden razz and like 15 ultra balls but finally caught it without it running away! I was shaking with excitement lol 😂

I remember finding a shiny moltres on pokemon x when I was younger, at the time I didn’t know what shinies were, and I didn’t know how to catch moltres, and I didn’t know moltres was in the game so it surprised tf out of me because I found it randomly, and unfortunately I never ended up catching it

So, you got 3 master ball, I got 2 but for some reason the items in the caves doesn't seems to respawn for me, I usually wait one full day but I guess that's not how it works, i'll try another way later since i'm actually hunting shiny moltres too

Its every 20 or 10 minutes i belive... you have to leave the cave walk around outside then reenter and things will respawn.

@@TheRetroManny I tried that too, I went look for gold and silver bottle cap, seeing the digglet and keeping an eyes for the slowpoke and then come back but still no item, I thought there was a special pattern like a number of step in game but even after all of what I wrote above there was still nothing, I was kinda confused to be honest

@@Sorute bottle caps in the game corner need to be reset for until you get what you want (assuming you don't pick any up first go around). The items respawn daily, right at midnight. The pp max next to where you find Mewtwo is daily, so is the hidden items found with your following Pokemon, the full restore next to the entrance (bottom corner on the floor above) and the max revive/rare candy facing the two ladders. And the item before you reach the water before mewtwo is also daily. The top floor is sporadic spawning. Sometimes it's quick, sometimes it takes awhile and going up and down ladders doesn't seem to really help. I _finally_ got a second Master Ball just last week, and there are only 5 specific spots in the cave you can pick up pokeballs from on that top floor. You could reset the cave too, if you wanted. I got a couple Shinies this way, actually.

@@ShadowSkyX well I usually got the gold bottle cap on first try but I didn't knew about the other items in the cave, i'm usually not paying attention to Eevee, I know where the items are so I don't need to focus on Eevee ^^'

Darn, Moltres looks like it lost all of its Feathers.

I was shiny hunting for Growlithe last night and I encountered a Moltres. I really wish I was recording it to send as a shiny fail of the week. In the end, had to give up catching Moltres to save Pokeballs and hunt ended with a shiny pidgey. (fifth time failing a shiny growlithe hunt by the way)

I did not realize they couldn’t run until I saw this video! I used like 30 ultra balls on my Zapdos and ran out and had to switch to switch to poke balls and actually got caught it like 3 poke ball throws in after all the ultra balls and I thought it was like the most baller thing because it shows it’s only in a poke ball until now I find out they can’t run and it’s so much less impressive lol! 😂 but at the time I didn’t know that so it seemed amazing that I actually got it with a poke ball and at the time I thought oh must be only a handful of throws left before this runs or I run out of time. Awesome video man! Hands down I think the best looking legendary bird of the 3 shiny wise since the other 2 don’t change much this one is amazing!

It doesnt matter.. As soon as you restart game, the combo is lost

You 1 shotted moltres while I 1 shotted zapdos

I have been shiny hunting Moltres for 4 days

FishermanJustins go to your Options menu and turn on the Movie Skipping option (i think that is what its called) . Then you would just use the plus or minus button on your Switch joy cons to skip over all that.

Well, to get the shiny charm you’d need to complete the dex, and to complete to dex you need to catch the legendaries already, sooo....

Masterball in one hand, any other ball in the other by using the support trainer. Hold master ball and only throw the support trainers balls. You’re welcome

The circle on a Pokemon when trying to catch it only has it's color change for the ball the actual player (not second player/support trainer) holds. Meaning it won't effect the catch rate of the support trainer. Support trainers add a slight boost to catch rate if you throw at the same time, regardless of what ball the ST uses. So an Ultra Ball from the ST is the same catch rate as a normal Pokeball from the ST. Holding a Master Ball in your left hand won't change the odds. It will only make the circle green

Envy i’ve tested this myself and i don’t get the 100% catch rate of the master ball true but i Do catch my pokemon way easier since the support trainers ball still has some effect along the the main trainers ball. And because of it you actually do catch your pokemon way easier ;)

@@Tha_Kev that's because a support trainer has a higher catch rate than player 1 if they're both using standard Pokeballs or premier balls. The color only changes depending on how easy it would be for player 1 to catch. Literally nothing can change a support trainer's catch rate

Yes but each time you run you need to beat the elite 4 to get it to respawn

@@julioceasar for shiny dex you need ro catch for example shiny charmender and evolve it to shiny charizard, while in shiny living dex you need to catch 3 shiny chaenders, evolve one to shiny charizard, one to shiny charmeleon and keep the third shiny charmender.... Now repeat for every single pokemon

No hate at all but does anyone else like fire red/leaf green better? I like how shiny Pokémon feel a lot more worth it. Plus it gives me nostalgia and it’s so fun to play. Again no hate I love let’s go but I feel like the older games are a bit better

Umm get very high catch combo with max lure on at the place you find dragonite in it will take long time but it might work

i heard from some people that legendaries in this game can flee. but you say they can't ?? i don't know what to think.
