From 2009 to 2016 he consistently made upto the later stages of almost all big tournaments. Whenever big 3 missed, Andy grabbed the opportunity. This is the reason they were called the big four. It never meant that Andy was equally good as the big 3.

Says a lot about both players - Murray’s almost unique ability to stay with the top 3 at his peak but also Nadal’s ability to always stay in the moment. He got hit off the court in that first set by a Murray who was redlining everything but he never panicked. Kept his head, played his game & reeled him back in. Tennis will miss them 🎾❤️

Wow, thanks a lot for uploading these highlights! What a match... smack down in the meaty part of the Big Four era, where it's quite clear that Murray could hang with the Big Three and hold his own. Superb fightback from Rafa as usual, especially after losing the first set so decisively! 🙂

@@ediccartman7252 you must learn history...Federer is one of the greatest clay court player of all time! If it wasn't for Nadal, Fed would have been considered as the greatest or most successful clay court player ever along with Borg (vilas and perhaps Djokovic ..Fed and him are even on the surface by the way) ...just look at Fed's record on clay: 1 Rolland Garros (add 4 more finals), 6 masters 1000 (4 Hambourg and 2 madrid) and 4 finals in both Rome and Monte Carlo! So let me ask : do you know 10 players in the Open Era with those feats ??? 🙄😏!!!!

Any match with healthy Del Potro is hard as playing against Murray. Nalbandian has beaten fed, rafa, nole at the same tournament. He was better player than rafa. Any match against him is very difficult. Honestly Wawrinka is weaker player than both Nalbandian, and del Potro but he got more success.

Nah he had a shitty forehand in 2015 this was just the first clay season he was actually vulnerable since he burst onto the scene. Trend corrected itself at RG tho where he was dominant as ever and the forehand went nuclear to carry him to that title while still having back trouble.
