I really need to listen to your other sides besides "Twilight adventures' The tone in here is perfect and the strings come together to provide that excellent combination with the piano. This is what I love about orchestral.0:55 the tempo change right here is PERFECT and it really speeds up the pace and feel of the song. 1:30 Really adore the touch of the bells & Percussion in the background, as they add rhythm and continue the feel. Fun fact, the twilight hour is also known as the "Magic hour" and is a very beautiful sight. Also the most likely for something strange to happen, or for worlds to temporarily collide. It only lasts for a short while though, despite it being called an hour.

Am I the only one who imagines this as part of Twi's alicorn magic? Great deeds require great sacrifice, which goes for all alicorns. Luna and Celestia have their evil, powerdriven sides, so that makes me think that all alicorns have it. This song and the art makes me think of a story in which Twilight goes through a time in her life where her true alicorn magic awakens, which puts her through a stage of powerdriven madness, like Luna and Celestia. I think that in the end, her friends and all the alicorns would have to pull her out of it. I think her magic may be stronger than even celestia's. Then again that's just my crazy fantasies😂😂

When I wrote this song my only goal was to create something that would play before a climax or transition in stories or characters. So not the battle music but the music that leads up to the final battle music :3 A gathering of strength, or maybe a reflection over what's already happened and what's to come, perhaps even the anxiety you feel before something big. -At 2:47 the song takes a pause of uncertain hesitation, maybe that would be Twilight or another wondering if this is the right thing to do. -Then at 3:07 we have a transition into peaceful memories. -But 3:28 the darkness creeps back in -And at 3:32 the uncertainty creeps back in as well through the unstable chord played by the upper strings. -But at 3:35 it resolved, no more being uncertain the choice is made, now to go through with it! -At 3:40 everything else dropped out except the piano, this symbolizes being alone. Sometimes when you resolve to a decision you have to face it on your own. If you notice throughout the main melody of the song the piano is very quiet and buried underneath everything else -But at 4:41 to the end you can actually hear the piano loud in the melody. The piano is the lonely choice that was made now singing out to the rest of the world amongst all the other things. You wrote me a long comment so i'm writing a long comment back HAH TAKE THAT! I think your narrative fits nicely into all that and your imagination was already filling in the blanks :3

I've been wanting to make an mlp story about how twilight turns evil and a young mare must restore the princess of friendship to her former self. Usually I'm not a big fan of synthetic instruments in orchestral pieces, but I didn't mind them here at all. You blended all the instruments together really well. I love how flowing and dynamic it sounds, without being too aggressive or too heavy on the percussion. Also the changes from harsh to soft and back are well rounded and preserve the overall mood. This is one of the most likeable pieces I've heard recently. Well done, Zephy. :)

Poems are great and they feel very similar to music in their creative process, the wording in this one was inspired a little bit by the hobbit actually and the part where "the thresh knocks on durins day and shines upon the keyhole" and the meaning of the song and poem to me is that period of time when you have been working towards a goal or when you have been anxious about an event and in the instant before it happens and you go out to accomplish or fail at somthing big you look back at what it took to get there and how you've changed "counting the lines in stone" and that period of your life coming to an end "daylights end" and the task at hand is your "hour of twilight" where things will change for better or for worse. At least that's what it means to me, I feel I didn't explain it very well. It could mean somthing different for someone else, I love when people have different interpretations of things I make!

To see such passion, before it was cool, is truly awesome :D And if you heard of his recent fanfic "Trinity", well, that fanfict is actually a "reboot" from a fanfic that he made back then during previous gens :D Um, yes, I am very passionate about art too... xP About what you explained on your own meaning behind the poem and the song, wow, that's awesome, I actually didn't suspect that! It's actually something very relatable that you can have during life... And it's quite deep, too ^.^ Very nice! Thank you for explaining, it's very appreciated :D I see the charm of letting listeners find their own meanings but truth is I don't often sit down and ponder about my own meaning of a song, while I really appreciate all the depth that a creator can put into something, and I'm always VERY interested about that as I love fan works, so, I think I prefer it when I get an explanation of the meaning from the creator. I think the most important thing I learned early on was not to limit yourself to a "right and wrong" way of doing things. Often I get inspired by other songs, sometimes I get inspired by pictures, I get inspired by poetry, sometimes (this song has a poem that accompanies it that I wrote ) I will write out a chord progression, sometimes, I will sketch something or write a diagram, I will make bullet points of all the things I want, sometimes I will just sit down and flip through instruments and playing random chords and from there the music can sometimes just pour out organically. You can find inspiration in any number of ways. Often I use combinations and sometimes I will even draw from different inspirations halfway through a piece. For starting out though I think its reaaaly helpful to find a piece of music that you like and try to emulate it, dont copy it, but use it as a kind of guide. For example my song "Twilight Adventures" was a song that I very specifically wrote trying to emulate the style of the Little Witch Academia OST.

Thats on of my favorite parts too I added the piano at the break down and in the intro last minute on a whim even after all the mixing was done and im so gad I did because it became such an integral part for the character!

i love the instrumental it really brings the beauty of the time of day twilight i also love the small poem you did it really fits the song

This composition always rumbles my ears with the strings section. Loved how you did the cellos. This is one of my favorites. The reoccurring theme/melody is so good. Then when it all just halts and slows down. Then hearing the violins. The deep rumble to piano continuing the melody from before. Then everything part of the orchestra joins in the melody/theme with piano. The then rumbly end with the brass I believe. Very good overall.

I liked this. Of course, I don't care for the show and have no affiliation to the show, but I love music and you did a great job with this piece. One of my favorite instruments and I want to hear one (I never heard one in person) is the pipe organ. One of my favorite composers who definitely fits that quota is Hans Zimmer and this definitely has that Zimmer feel, but it's missing the most important part. If you could incorporate some pipe organ into this, you could bump up the epic by 10 fold. Just a humble opinion.

Now that I think about the interstellar soundtrack I see what you mean, although I still probably wouldnt want to put organ in this because it would sound like im ripping him off , but it would be a cool sonic choice regardless XD If I remember right I was trying to go for a Yuki Kajiura vibe with this one...I dont think I really hit that goal, but the song turned out alright anyways I suppose. I think I hear something akin to a Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon song between 0:55 and 1:09. Or maybe it's the Grove of Dreams for Jirachi from mainstream Pokémon games? Idk, been too long since I played one of those games.

Does epic orchestral really fit with twilight? I imagine a sunset being gentle and what not. Good music though.

1:52 This tune sounds awfully familiar, especially when the notes "rise" at 2:20, but I can't seem to place where I might've heard it. I've either heard this long ago or something similar. Either way, good song.

Like all of my pieces this is a completely original composition and contains no samples so its unlikely youve heard it before XP. Although its not impossible that some other piece has similar motion or melody by independent coincidence. I was inspired by "Count it From Zero" from F/S Night UBW to write this piece and used that piece exclusively as a reference for the instrumentation and feel so maybe it could be that.

As for the notes rising at 2:20 the entire piece just modulates up a minor third and repeats. I think thats a fairly common modulation so that could have somthing to do with it too.
