Epic Fishing with BREAD! | TAFishing

Ойын-сауық

The Epic Fishing series strikes again! This time Graeme & Mike Pullen have some epic Carp Fishing using Bread for bait! They've caught fish on chips, potatoes, raisins and much more. The venue of choice is Vale Farm Fishery. A great fishery for surface fishing for Carp. Despite a huge thunderstorm coming in 10 minutes in to the session, the Totally Awesome boys battle through the rain to show you guys how fun and simple it is catching fish on bread. No complicated rig, just straight up Avon Rod, 8lb mainline, 2500 size reel, size 4 or 6 hook tied straight to the mainline and a simple uncut loaf of bread! At the end of the episode Mike gives you the breakdown on how you can prepare you baits to get the maximum amount of time fishing.

I just wanted to thank the Totally Awesome Fishing Show for producing a really good episode a while ago when Graeme showed how to fish the quiver tip with a maggot feeder because yesterday I was out fishing the same method that Graeme showed and got: 10 bream (1-3lb), a half a pound Crucian Carp and 2 really big roach so thanks guys keep up the good work!

For surface fishing I'll always take dog biscuits over bread. Pedigree Chum mixers are the best in my experience, I've tried a few other brands and styles but they're often not buoyant enough, soak them in some oil (fish/hemp if you're feeling fancy, veggie oil works fine otherwise)for extra attraction and help flatten the ripple on breezy days. The advantage I find is that they are much easier to cast and catapult if the fish are sitting a little further out, if you've got small roach/rudd pecking away at the baits you don't have to worry about the hook dropping out. The price is decent when you consider how much bait you're getting and as long as you keep them dry they'll keep indefinitely. Use a silicon bait band to attach to the hook and you're away, casts like a dream, fish love them and good and hardy so you're not forever rebaiting while the bigguns are showing

Do you put a spilt shot on your line at all when you float-fishing with bread? If no, you would have to soak your bread before casting to get enough weight?

There's a fishing club that has more than probably 20 lakes of all mixed levels. Mill lane is the hardest and lodge pond is the easiest. When I first went for a day I managed to catch about 5, 10-15 lb carp in a day. I think mike would like some of the nice carp lakes and Graeme just mostly all of them. Plz join.
