Called them 'haters', claimed they were trying to yell at people so they'd "stop having fun", told them to go away if they didn't like the game, that they didn't want them as customers, etc. Even when people weren't insulting them but just offering honest feedback.

It just seems like it was written by an amateur. The game being "woke" isn't even the problem like everyone says. It's just a soulless cash grab using the Saints name.

You know, I think that the people who said that SReboot should go to a style more like SR 2 instead of 3/4 look pretty damn smart right now. It's almost like the fans had a better grasp about what a SR game should be over the devs who wanted to create a version based on zoomer humor and TikTok vibes.

The reboot is pretty much SR3 if they got rid of the gangster, sex appeal and actual adult tone that, even that game had and just settled for the stupid laser army from SRTT and a bad attempt at writing family friendly version of that game's dialogue for kids. Now if they didnt want to ignore SR1 they'd know what gangster should feel like, they said I SR1 had a lot of research put into it. If they didnt ignore SR2 and maybe replayed it, we would have gotten smart but funny dialogue. Not shit that sounds like what their twitter followers probably say. The older games were inspired by BadBoys 2 and music videos.

They had that coming, for disrespecting the OG fans and ruining all the charm SR had, for the sake of "staying hip and with the times" and trying to appeal to the people who hate video games AND not even play them.

Volition should've kept the reboot in the oven more & not only that: not even decide this idea of making some nonsensical ragebait for what saints row reboot have these stupid & dogcrap characters, futuristic guns (no, this should stop being in saints row because literally there's ways to make games still work well with only bullet projectile weapons & possibly atleast be able to make funny / goofy weapons fit in. Volition should've thought of making actual humor instead of managing to have ironic self awareness about the "it just works" - by todd Howard, oh yea, literally they should've added gore in saint row reboot. I started with Saints Row 3 but only went up to the next entries in the franchise. I really wanted to play the previous games but for some reason I never committed to it. It was up until 2018-2019-ish when I started playing Saints Row 2 then to SR1.

This guys try to cover up the fact that their game is technically bad by focusing on answering to the minority of toxic players and pretending that the bad reception is due to "social climate" . The many technical problems of this game are clearly the result of laziness, lack of talent, and greed. The game doesn't even look like it was released recently. It's a spit on the face of the players, an attempt at a quick cash grab that ended up poorly. Which wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't for the fact that they did it with a beloved franchise....

I find it funny that GTA IV also cost around 100Million$ to develop, so it’s not like Volition didn’t have the budget they needed to develop a good game

I feel like they forgot the lesson SRTT tried to teach about selling out and getting back to your roots. Maybe its an unintended 'hindsight is 20/20' situation.

I think the biggest thing for me that sets these groups of characters apart is the og cast didn't feel forced. It didn't feel like Johnny was asian just to check a box, where as Kevin feels like a forced addition from his personality to his sexuality that they felt the need to put in there just feels fake and forced. Honestly it feels the same way with the the Urkel looking dude whose name I can't remember. Nina doesn't feel as forced as the other 2, but still feels like they were trying too hard. In SR2 I never found myself asking why any of the characters existed, they just felt natural.

I see this happen too much. A beloved franchise is changed for an audience who don't buy their products, and it ultimately fails, screwing over the fans and the people who created it. It happened to Battlefield, it's happened to Saints Row and it will probably happen to more games in the future.

I totally forgot about the community manager claiming that Kevin was the better character than Johnny, Kevin, the character she likes so much just wants to buy toys and a waffle maker and thinks being shirtless gives him powers or some crap. Yet she thinks we hated GOOH because of Gat? We hated it because we didnt want a stupid Disney parody nobody asked form featuring Gat.

Volition totally ruined Saints Row.

"The financial report goes on to suggest a stricter funding policy needs to be implemented. "We have therefore increased management focus and efforts to optimize investments and efficiency across the group even further." One particular sentence in the report sums up the company’s new approach for new titles: "each project has to earn its right to exist." The future of Saints Row is in jeopardy given the new strategy. The report adds, "We will increase our efforts to put quality first even further, and make sure we create unique positive player experiences." which means instead of admitting we should have listened to players we will instead blame everything else.

The fact that the Saint 2 clip made me laugh at the end without trying and SRreboot made me wanna click off the videos is crazy, but your reaction was hilarious 😂

Being of age and how to manage the sequence of returns in those early periods is what seems quite scary in the current market. The market is never a loser in a twenty year cycle, but the 2000s decade scenario scares me and could really disrupt my retirement. One of my favorite Gat moments was in the second when they were having Aisha’s funeral and they get interrupted by the Robin’s leader. Gat straight up tells him to leave, and to pick a time and place, because he wasn’t going to kill anyone at Aisha’s funeral.

As sad as it is to say, the Saints Row series is dead. For some it probably died with Saints Row The Third or IV, but at least they can't be called the worst in the series anymore.

Still waiting for you to play the True Crime series, man. It's the predecessor of Sleeping Dogs and the very first GTA clone that has successful sales.

I'm pretty sure that a large portion of their spendings was on their Custom Engine. They've decided to use their own Engine instead of licensing something from other developers, even though they are using an upgraded version of their AoM engine, it's still really expensive to expand and maintain.

I have to admit Pro you were dead on about this one. I had hopes they might, you know, actually write a credible script or do some interesting gameplay or at least have funny weapons but every video I watch of this game is a real horror show. I'm used to games with black or brown femme protagonists getting labeled auto fail by keyboard warriors when they're actually pretty good so I wanted to give this boot the benefit of the doubt but I cannot see myself buying the product ever. It's a total shame because what I've played of the series was sweet. Wasted money and ideas here. What a wasted and terrible way to reboot saints row. And honestly if saints row reboot doesn't exist we would've gotten a saints row 1 and 2 remake. Saints row deserves better.

I gave it a shot on a free weekend. I played for about two hours and decided it wasn’t worth my time. I didn’t like the driving, the shooting, the enemies’ sponginess, and mainly, the gang members.

So let me understand this. They rebooted a franchise, abandoned everything about the franchise that the fanbase enjoyed, and added a bunch of PC and woke elements and they can't figure out why it flopped? These people are out of touch with reality.

When are these companies gonna realize if you give the fans what they want they give you what you want

rule 1 of making tv shows or video game series always listen to your audience if your losing touch don't treat your fans like idiots cuz end of the day the audience knows what's best

I would like to know what exactly was the $100 million spent on? Marketing? Promotion? Because it doesn't show in game. Last generation graphics, extremely buggy visuals, dated mechanics, idiotic story, awful and unlikable characters and nothing resembling the old Saints Row games... And that cat... Unreal Engine resellable assets has better cats than Saints Row.

I love the intros Professional, it fits so well with the video and the current era of gaming right now.

They should've just Remastered Saints Row 2. As much as I'll admit I enjoyed some of the reboot the gave overall was not good. Things like the new environment, the ability to grow the gang similar to OG SR and SR2 and the vast amounts of activities and side quests were interesting. But things like the lackluster customization for weapons and your character and the really bad storyline greatly affected it (I spent about 10 to 12 hours just getting the stinkin tower.....) And they didn't even bring back Johnny Gat.... I will say that when SR3 Remastered came out I understand they had to do that one cause they lost the OG files for SR2 but that game had probably a bit less than what the reboot did but certainly made up for it with a great story and amazing customization. Summary: SR reboot sucks, give us SR2 Remastered and we *may* forgive Deep Silver and Volition for this game. Edit: Also bring back Professor Genki

EVERYONE warned them!! I remember over a year before it came out their Twitter was riddled with people warning them it would flop terribly...they STILL stubbornly kept going full steam ahead. Moral of the story...LISTEN TO YOUR FANS!!!!!!

Also don’t forget cyberpunk 2077 got review bombed because the company wanted a holiday release by the end of 2020. Instead of giving more months for patches to be made. But right now, because of edgerunners Netflix anime series, and as well as major patch improvements, cyberpunk 2077 is getting the love that it deserves.

They should remastered Saints Row 1 or 2 , so that they'll get their money back,and not to do the same mistakes they did, just like they released Saints Row Reboot, so that the Saints Row fans and community will be enjoying it, if they remastered Saints Row 1 and 2, if you guys read this, then you should agree with me with this comment

I’m currently playing through Saints Row 1, and it makes me further disappointed that they didn’t go back to the gang warfare.
