@@torymason4651 There is a difference between teaching history and teaching critical race theory. Specifically, one can be taught without the other; history that is. Second, CRT is a tool for analyzing disparity using critical theory, which is binary in approach. Thus, CRT starts with the (flawed) hypothesis that race is the cause of any and all disparity. And what about that seems like a good foundation for educational instruction for adolescents? The use of critical race theory was deemed necessary as Bell didn't see significant change after desegregation in schools (he was part of the litigation team in Brown v. Board of Ed. for plaintiff). Frankly, Bell expected change to happen too fast, and he didn't look at all factors - rather was biased with focus on legal barriers.

I was born in 70 and we were taught to judge someone by their character Only. America had just come out of the Civil Rights decade with great men like MLK pushing for people to be seen color blind. So long as 'bring your child to work day' isn't observed too often prior to the child adulting, I'm onboard for her running for any office, local or national! No child should have to spend a day in the swamp. Her mind is clear and her energy focused, she is doing "God's work", as some would say. She's most certainly doing Man's work regardless, of protecting us from ourselves. She is telling them there is smoke coming out of the system, and without voices like hers, the system is ash by the time they are willing to acknowledge the state of things. If you see smoke, you don't even tell people to put out the fire, _you_ put it out as relying on others would likewise result in the structure being lost - the last as I suspect you'll pick up on is Sun Tzu from _Art of War_. Today though, this is as close to bucket brigading the smoke as a community as could be reasoned, and it is inspiring to see these examples of civic responsibility/duty.

You're lucky. My mother abused me for years, backstabbed me when she promised to help and blamed me for everything. She refused to talk or problem solve and instead just shoved it all onto me after putting me in situations where I couldn't win. There's no way I'm talking to her. I can be grateful she provided the bare necessities, but reopening the door is NOT worth it. Again, if you had a decent mother you were lucky. Same with a father who didn't steal your innocence. Be grateful for who you have in your life but don't you DARE make blanket statements and assume my life for me.

I was always asked as a child, by my siblings, why are you always reading books? Why do you like school? Well, I was the first and only college graduate in my family until my daughter. We are the only persons to hold a professional job on my side of the family. I came from poverty, no white person held me down or kept me in poverty; and I grew up in the real Jim Crow era.

Black children don’t need a race theory, that teaches us why we are disadvantaged and downtrodden. We need our beautiful history to be taught as American History because it is, WITHOUT politics included.

Folks need to decide if they are going to be the hammer or the nail. Good for her and prayers for her and Mr Tatum.

What about the privilege of the wealthy athletes who do nothing for their communities. My fathers grandfather, back during Jim Crow, would take his car around to black neighborhoods in south Alabama on Election Day and drive as many people as he could to go vote. The busses never ran on Election Day. So he wanted to help people, black people, to get to the polls to vote.

This woman should run for the POTUS! ...and I will vote for her right now!

Dang! She is brilliant ! And 100% right...on everything.

Just got done working at a juvie hall school and they're about to start teaching CRT. If they teach the students that they'll keep coming back. How convenient, that's lifetime employment for the staff.

I loved this video. Very good. Color of skin does not matter. All that matters is teaching children how to succeed and giving them the tools to do so. Let's stop this divisive thing that is CRT.

Her son is doing great in school because his mother encouraged him and told him all that victim mentality was BUNK

CRT is about as racist as racism gets

Superintendent of schools, any school board member, any school administrator, any teacher who advocates for and supports CRT needs to be removed from the schools. Not voted out, not ask the step down but removed.

We need the same message aware to our children in Australia, huge same problem here.

Good for her!!! Couldn't agree more! There are people who say that systemic racism towards minorities in America is a BIG problem, but I have yet to see the EVIDENCE.

Search video by students ... kids leave their phones on while in class ... visual is simply the phone looking up at the ceiling but the audio says it all ... shameless ... kids are disagreeing and not buying it but the teachers are legit adult manipulating ... scary times for anyone with young kids in school
