The red barn is a feed barn. The first barn that you show is an animal barn with hay and straw storage over. Usually they are in a bit of a bank. so the big double doors in the recess would be to access the upper storey where you would bring the harvest wagons to load the upper floor. The stable doors on the other side would be a storey lower so that you could feed the animals through the ceiling.

Thank you Leslie, that makes a lot more sense now. Not sure why Warlord have described them as a Dutch Barn and Two Houses 😂🤷‍♂️. I guess the ‘Dutch Barn’ is the red one based not the roof styling, but to label the large one as ‘house’ is odd.

That is a fantastic set of suggestions on the artillery conversions. Looks to me the same could be done on the new Napoleonics.

If you are looking for more ACW buildings check out things from the basement. They've got a nice line of 15mm historic houses and barns from the Gettysburg battlefield.

I like the sponging effect. I have yet to build mine, but they strike me as being quite suitable for the Peter Pig 15mm figures, while 10mm buildings are clearly smaller in relation to a single figure, but right in terms of regimental sized bodies. Down to personal preference I suppose.

Yep I think these are scaled very well to individual 15mm (and 13.5mm) figures, almost perfect for 15mm skirmish games. Slightly smaller buildings might be better if you need a smaller footprint on the table. No doubt I’ll end up with a mix of sizes and use them in different situations.
