Pastor Skip, I have enjoyed listening to your expository teaching emphatically who Aposal Paul was before Christ saved him directly. This, for a reason only which Christ had revealed who Apostal Paul is in the Body of His chosen Disciples through His Holy Spirit. I always like Apostal Paul and thank God for saving him, without him the Gospel would have suffered a lot of severe opposition delaying the spreading of the Gospel by His Holy Spirit through vessels who have 100% died to themselves and live for Christ. Am looking forward very much meeting him at the Wedding Banquet.

QUESTION…… I have witnessed many times with words, actions, and my life to my family. None of them are believers. Should I keep on witnessing to them, or does this mean that God did not choose them? My heart breaks for them all, my children, my grandchildren, my siblings, everybody.

We are called to witness to people through our living and our loving of them through Christ. You should definitely not give up on them because it takes some longer than we would like to follow Christ. That being said, it is not our responsibility to 'save' them. We must tell them about how Christ has changed our lives and then let the Holy Spirit do the work. We plant the seed, the Spirit waters that seed until they either come to Jesus or make the conscience choice not to. I hope that helps you a little.

Hey Skip! Honestly, is it even possible to steal a Bible??? I mean really!

Ephesians 1:3-12 applies to the Apostles, not the Church in general. Note Eph. 1:12 That We who were the FIRST to hope in Christ . . . By no stretch can you call today's believer the first to hope in Christ. Even the Ephesians are not the first to hope in Christ for they are called 'you also' Eph. 1:13 And when you heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Christ, you were also sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, Note in Eph. 1:13 Paul switches from first person plural, 'we & us' to second person plural, 'you.' Note in Eph. 1:8 which he lavished upon us, along with all wisdom and understanding. Compare to Eph 1:17 I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, MAY give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him. Note the 'us & we" of vs 3-12 have already been lavished with all wisdom and understanding, while the Ephesian Church Paul prayed for that they MAY get wisdom. We can see from Paul's words that Vs. 3-12 do not apply to the Ephesian Church, let alone us. Those verses apply to the Apostles.
