Here is a written biography www.barrylong.org/barry-long, his knowledge came from no tradition or teacher but through his own self knowledge or gnosis, which is the ability to recognise truth, our original state. He has acknowledged the teachings of Gurdjief and Krishnamurti but he has had no formal master from any other teaching. (A student of his did for a while become his teacher and take him into a deeper realisation). Barry Long always acknowledged his source of inspiration, and the love of woman and of God forms the basis of his teaching.
