The funny thing about 90% of “the government“ is they are normal people, living there lives supporting themselves, and maybe a family, with hopes, dreams, and goals just like the rest of us. If they would stand up to the 10% of bad “government” for themselves, and all the other good people they could put a stop to all the stupid and corrupt things the “government” does. I had my audit, they give you plenty of time to get your paper work in order and they list what they want. They want you to pass.

Well having the experts keeping your tax records and your IFTA is a very good idea. I have found that buying at least some fuel in every state you drive in each quarter is a very good idea. Generally this will keep the IFTA payment lower each quarter. Also with the paper log book record keeping is much easier than with electronic log. Electronic logs makes trucking much more complicated.

I hate that WalMart! Delivered there a few times sum 10 years ago. Had 10pm to midnight delivery times. So i would try park there overnight. Every single time they would kick me off the lot saying only WalMart trucks were allowed to park. Never went back.

I’m in Lenexa right now and the weather is beautiful. Hope it holds up for you.

The Lineage facility in Olathe is state of the art. Had the opportunity to tour it the day they received the first load back January. It is highly automated. Humans drive the forklifts to load and unload trailers. Cameras and barcode scanners check product in and robotics put the pallets away. All of the activity is monitored and controlled in a NASA style control room. Pretty amazing! I wouldn’t be too worried about the IFTA audit since y the trucking bureau handles everything for you.

Yeah I often buy the salad packs at walmart too, one come with salada dress, bits of bacon and those bread crumb things, but you have get early or walmart gets picked over quickly, Even here in Canada.. If I may, no buisness man, or person is good at everything however, A good buisness man knows when and where to put the right people in place. Pencil pushers are good at pushing the Pencil, that's what your people do for you so you are a good buisness man. The right people doing the right things so you can do what you're best at. Use Amazon for your filters, belts, lights etc. I started doing that two years ago, leave the numbers of all filters lights and such by the computer and the wife orders as I use, air lines also. P.s. I use Pitt power fuel stuff best ever.

Kurt, I'm semi retired from semi driving as I've stated before, thru-out my driving career I've had many an opportunity to own my own truck and never chose to. I nit pick to much and every thing has to be just so and you have to not be "Short Fused" Truck drivers as a whole except some from early 2000's are like the long lost cowboy, a dyeing breed shall I say, it's folks like yourself and Trucker Dan and so many more that the Government want to corral and put out to pasture. Luckily we still have folks like yourself Dan and many others and stat true to themselves and live their life like they want to with out looking over their back to see which government puppet is watching. Kurt you been doing this thing you do "Truckin" that you can almost do it with your eyes closed, 1st Class can probably drive it's self with a little help from Opie, I'm sure your fine with Mr. DOT. Crab from California ! it may be different than the east crab ! i know i pick up frozen crab at the far east coast of Newfoundland in the small village of Bay de Verde ! LoL it was going in the USA ! So i unloaded that in Amhesrt Nova Scotia and they took it to the States !🤠W900L was always my favorite ride ! but i also really enjoyed Peterbilt ! I wish you a nice run ! over n out......

It's "O Lay The" will get you close. I use to live there. Use to have the nastiest truck stop at 119th and I 35. You had to exit left if going south.

Well if you got the right people looking after your fuel and your taxes ya pretty much got nothing to worry about. It’s that grey areas that people get caught in. I also have my taxes done by a professional accountant and that what I pry her to do by look after without going to far in the grey area where now governments want a second look. She wouldn’t put her company on the line to save me money I am not entitled to. So I never have a problem. Now if your trying to pull the wool over the government’s eyes then you should be worried. The only foods I'll buy at Wally World are frozen burritos and hot pockets it's getting pretty sad for what there prices are Kurt, it cost just as much to feed a dog as it does a kid or adult anymore. Like I keep saying, all the truck drivers should shut it down, park the dam truck for 4 weeks, no delivery’s , go on vacation. And see what the government says , when no food or gasoline, drugs, auto parts , all that crap from China sits and piles up.
