Spa shenanigans - I went to Austria a few years ago with my husband and we stayed at this really nice caravan site, it was like a 5 star resort with a spa. After a day of walking and doing touristy stuff we decided to go to the on-site spa, I have only ever been to a spa in the U.K. and that was what I was expecting it to be like. To my horror I emerged from the changing room to discover everyone was naked, my husband thought it was hilarious, I was shocked and terrified and wanted to leave immediately but my he persuaded me to stay for a ‘bit’. I said I’d go and sit outside in the contemplation area in my robe whilst he went to the steam room, he was gone for half an hour during which time I became more and more angry. I couldn’t leave because he had the keys for our camper van and I had no phone and no money on me so I would have been stuck outside waiting for him. When he eventually reappeared I was in a full on rage and through gritted teeth made it clear I wanted to leave, we went back to the camper van and I didn’t speak to him for about an hour, I refused to eat at the on-site restaurant that evening and couldn’t wait to leave the site the next day.
