Yea dude! I'm in the middle of my own '69 FJ40 frame-off restromod. What an adventure, so I really really appreciate seeing you go through the tricky bits first! Keep it up

@@40ChannelCruiser True that!...I just had to cut off one of my steering arms to get the steering column out...bits are seized up in 4 places. Newer steering columns look SO much easier to remove...mine steering shaft and gearbox is one assembly :(

Great job including the family. I love how they all get involved. Nice build! I have been enjoying your work and channel. I need to do everything you're doing, but I am limited on the space required to be able to do a frame off restore etc. So I am. doing it as per job. I need to do the body suspension spacers as well. Getting ready to do a complete re-wire on mine.

That has to feel so good. Home stretch. I can’t wait to see how you do the fine details like the doors and hood. So many of the rigs you can see daylight because the doors are not put back together right

Yes Donna, as Jack said to me it starting to look like a FJ again! Yes the doors could be a challenge. But I hope not to much of one.

amazing mate... see hello from Indonesia nice disassembly and assembly, there is sand blast after you remove paint? why not direct just sand blast and not used anymore brush grinding...how much budget for yorur job?

Hi mate, I like to show that there is many different options to remove paint. Not everyone has access to or can I afford to use a Sand blaster.

Great Job with the car. Your tips and video are making my 78 FJ40 rebuild much easier and takes away the guess work. Did you get the full body kit from Energy Suspension? Most of my rubbers are looking a little tired. Thanks for putting these videos together.

The OEM body mounts are a way better design and with less hassle.

Great progress!! I noticed your front flexible brake lines look a little short.. could be my imagination, go full lock each direction and check they arent pulled tight.

I brought direct replacements, the same length as the ones I pulled off I hope that they'll be o.k😕 I will double check at full lock, Thanks mate.

e gusta sus vídeos, yo estaba empezando con una fj62, pero la situación económica me llevo a venderla por partes, espero mejore mi país vzla y así empezar un nuevo proyecto, una fj60 con motor 1FZ-FE y todo lo de una autana transmisión diferenciales suspencion etc etc. saludos desde Venezuela

What if you roughed up the plates with some sandpaper to give them some grip so they won’t spin when you mount them?

Thanks for your comment, But If you do this you run the risk of removing the zinc plating. I only took a second to put the clamp on to hold in place, with no damage to the mount or the body.

Looks good, I am excited to see the bodywork. Are you just gonna leave the underside of the tub in Primer?

I have underside and the inside of the tub have to previously painted in raptor liner.
