It turns out that rubber gloves are handy for more then just hands.

Thanks for the great video! Do you think it is okay to bend the shift lever a bit while it is out? Mine is quite close to the middle passenger in 3rd. Cheers mate

Yes, I have done this myself. Heated and bent to the position that suits.

Hi mate, have you spoken to Mr LandCruiser (Paul Read) in Queensland or there's a guy named Ben Keen on the Australian 40 series Facebook page. both these guys should be able to help you with most parts you need.

Its not an original gear box of 40 series

You are correct it's from a 60 series.
