This is my favorite song by The Midnight. Love that line “the problem with believers, they let anyone in the door. The problem with deceivers is all the bodies buried under the floor boards.” Then goes right into that late night sax solo in a very Phil Collins way. Just a beautiful track that takes me to a very visual place, if that makes any sense.

My favourite song by midnight? Impossible to say. Days of thunder, crystalline, shadows, sunset, comeback kid, endless summer, memories...uff..too many too much inspiring for me and close to my heart and my memory.

I’ve loved this song since I first heard it. The soundscape, the melody & the lyrics are just perfection, and then the drums kick in!! 😍

I always felt like the structure of this song with the slow buildup and then drum break before it really picks up was a clear reference to Phil Collins' track "In The Air Tonight". Happy to see it confirmed!

As a midnight fan boy, this is one of the songs that inspired me to want to learn the sax… i’m one year into it and know all of the midnight Saxophone parts. So inspiring 🎷

F minor, hell yeah!

Current obsession, this song. Personally, I feel it's kind of a James Bond/Vesper Lynd kind of vibe. The lass is caught up in some shady stuff, the guy gets trapped in it, betrayed, hurt. I can see the whole thing in my head, from when they meet on the train, to where he's bleeding out in the alleyway, and she's finding her next mark on a new train... Or maybe he's not bleeding out, and is going to stop her, and break the cycle? Who knows? Up to the Midnight, and up to the listener. All I know is there's some epic shootouts and car chases in the sax solos!
