And yes, it's beautiful! Here I am, back on the roads of Spain for a short trip of around 360 kilometres that will take me from Lucainena de las Torres to El Campello, north of Alicant.
The 'purple stone' is a remarkable rock formation found in the province of Málaga in Andalusia.
Apparently this region is renowned for its karst landscapes, geological formations characterised by the dissolution of limestone by water, creating unique topographical shapes.
These spectacular landscapes can display a varied palette of colours, including violet hues, a violet hue that I had already seen the day before and which had really intrigued me.
On the programme for this short day's drive through the desert, arid mountains and beautiful landscapes, but you've already seen that.
And so no visits or other escapades because I'm due at El Campeillo and you know me, if I start acting like a mad dog I'll never get there!
