The stigma against widows should be stopped. When it comes to men, they are treated differently, The marriage vows is till death do us apart 😢

I was 24 when I went to all those banks, Uif offices to Master of the high courts for that letter of authority. That's when my father passed on. I relate to crying with one eye open. I remember telling my sister 19 at that time to not dare break down now...My father used to tell me when I cry eyes are clouded with tears that I cannot see the light...sending love my dear grief is indeed forever

I have had widows come into our home wearing black clothes. Nothing has happened to us. So Africans let us move away from these superstitions and discrimination of people who lost their loved ones, especially females .I don't think men i treated this way.😢

I can relate to her story my husband also died of covid 😢

It feels like Nonhlanhla is telling my mother's story, i saw her go through all this when my dad passed away. Just sad that she is also late now, would've loved to share this with her abone ukuthi she is not alone. I hope things get better for you Nonhlanhla and God grants you a long life to see your children grow and be independent, unfortunately my mom didn't live long enough to even see me graduate from university.

Such an eloquent and graceful lady. I’m really shocked about the stigma widows still face in this day and age. No one chooses this path. I can’t imagine how the grief is made worse by people so insensitive. Also, what the guy from a coffee date said to her. Her late husband will always be a part of her. He wasn’t just an event to be “ gotten over “. I wish her more strength through this journey.

It's like she's telling my story the loss, the stigma, the strengh for my kids, suicidal thoughts we continue to grieve but we keep moving one step at a time one day at a time...

I can relate. My husband of 9 years passed on last year Sep 2023. Hasnt been easy - keeping sane for my little girl. Hectic...

I relate 100% to ds lady's story...I just wish I had the strength 7 yrs ago to fight for hubby to be buried in GP..my kids dnt even know their daddy's grave cause the family decided to burry in Limpopo..I had a good support system though from my church and my family..I got triggered wen she mentioned hubby's family questioning kids visit😢...my inlaws last saw the kids on d burial day ,they never called to check up on how we are all doing but few years later they questioned why the kids never visit them...guys we are struggling as young widows n jst wish they inlaws could be supportive and think for the kids more than anything 😢

People are so insensitive, our bodies are not the same and we don't accept vaccines and meds the same way, people should understand that, samething cannot work for all of us the same way I'm glad she has gradually accepted and she is healing

Nonhlanhla is a force to be reckoned with…eloquent, smart, brave and an excellent woman. I am proud!!

Im still questioning covid vaccines to this day🤞💔... People are still dying mysteriously... If u ask what happened "he/she just fell"...a lot has happened during vaccines and post vax. Beautiful interview, two beautiful women... Madam Speaker ua a safe space for a lot of people❤👌

Best friend of my boss passed away mysteriously after vaccine, even 2day nobody understands what went wrong bt wrong happened after vaccine 😢even me I have pains I never had before vaccine

And it's not about the type of vaccine. Cos I know a number of people who passed after taking Johnsons Jab. Some got heart problems & some are complaining abt feeling tired all the time.,some were admitted for heart complications, all.of a sudden.. They all took Johnsons vaccine cos it was just 1 jab. So for me ,if there is a problem,it's all of these vaccine,jst that one will blame Pfizer, one will say its Johnsons etc. All of them nje,and its depend on your body,how it fight for you. No one is coming out to discuss the side effects now.

Lost my Husband of 7yrs to cardiac arrest after covid vaccine 😭💔

Iyo, I can relate to the conversation in all respects. The things that widows go through are underrated. Let's not forget SARS who impose a huge % tax to your husband's pension like he owed them. And the winding up of an estate which is a 5% of the estate. Then you have to change the house title deed to your name and remove his name. That process costs more than R20k. Hhayi it's a lot shame.

Yoooo, what a powerful one. I relieved my experience. I went through a similar experience. People have opinions and treat you like dirt. People are so materialistic and their view of one beinhlg rich when you actually feel pour with the loss. Keep going girl and many more in the same space.

Such an informative show. Thank you Ausi and Sorry for your loss and what you had to experience. Im Christian and we do not do traditional things at home but coming from South Africa and learning how cultural our country is. Some things are not stigma, but cultural beliefs that people have believed all these years, which I believe we should respect people's beliefs. Though I do think, there is a manner in which our believes can be communicated without offending others.

So heartbreaking

It happened to our family, a girl came claiming to be my dad's daughter... My mother was told by the Rakgadi to come meet her. My mom said if she found her rakgadi she has found her father's blood there's nothing that can be done by siblings or wife.

Phephisa sthandwa sami....ooh what a painful journey ..God will keep you sthandwa sami.... have walked that journey......(hugs my baby)

In community of property was okay fr our parents not for our generation

Yhooo being a widow is very painful ; you have to deal with the pain of losing your partner ngapha the in-laws who are greedy , bathi indoda ayizifeli and mind you my husband died 17 years ago (car accident) my kids were 5years and 2years old . You lose friends people treat you like you have a contagious desease . In public no one wants to sit next to you The inlaws hate you because they want the money . I last saw them 2 days after the funeral my kids do not know them . Widows need a lot of support. Yes being a single parent is difficult. It still hurts even now 😢😔

You are not alone Sister wife I also went through the same situation I am a widow for 10yrs and been in a similar situation I was also stigmatized by people around me I even close my eating place because I am a widow, I was accused for killing my husband as he was shot and killed in a hijack,as for my in laws we are no longer in speaking terms. You are not alone be strong in the Lord
