I extended and renovated our house, the community/family friends, thinks it's his "early pension money", that my mom, nor us his children never saw what he did with it. FATHERS??yooooh.. Few months back, my little got suddenly sick, It was my husband and I that took her to specialists to check what was the issue. When my little sister passed, he was busy saying he tried everything he could, he even took my little sister to expensive doctors heeeeeee at that time, he did FOKOL. Even for my sister's burial arrangements, My husband and I did everything, MoGuy wanted to run the show so that it seemed like it was him. For the first time in my life, I stood up and said to the family, "All expenses are being paid by me, yall are going to listen to me" he was so pissed, I didn't care, buried my sister, after the funeral, I put my dad on blocked list. Till today, 4 month later.

I relate so much to her story. I got partly lobola'd shortly after my Honours graduation and boy did I see flames 😂 From being asked to produce bank statements every month, paying 90% of expenses, being isolated from friends & family, started performing badly at work. Getting zero assistance with the kids. I was told how useless I was for seeking therapy after I was diagnosed with moderate depression & anxiety. I almost lost my life twice in the hands of that man. At my first job I would net about R19k monthly and within 5 days I'd be flat broke because the guy would fold his hands while he was earning 10k more than me. I'd pay the car, insurance, nanny, all kids expenses, groceries, electricity. I left with 2 kids and R0.00 in my account, I had to borrow transport money. Today I am single parent, still paying for a car that was written off after he crashed it. All this at only 27yrs old. I'm planning to seek legal advice on the lobola thing cause I don't want this man coming to claim my assets later on once he sees that I'm flourishing.

I think narcissim needs to be studied further as to why it's more prevalent in men. I was in a relationship with a narcissistic person. Being with such a person can mess up your mind coz you constantly question yourself and start believing the lies they speak to you about you.

When it’s comes to the in-laws…I love myself more and I contribute nothing after I have been financially abused in the past. I can relate to her story. Thank you for sharing your story 🙏🙏🙏🙏

good episode Owami, one critic, please try not interject a lot coz it disturb the rain of thought of the guest. if this lady wasn't well articulative we would have missed a lot of information. shout out to her she's brave to choose herself and love herself again. a lot of women in that position are just waiting for their partners to die, they don't believe they can survive and have peace outside toxic relationship.

I was listening to this lady and asked myself, who gives birth to these kinds of men? We, as parents, we need to do right by our sons wives.
