Wow, what a day of ups and downs. Fortunately the ups won!
I was surprised at how hot it became, never humid, just a very warm sun.
Was returning to look specifically for Mr Big and it took me a while to get back to his hideout. Although he never made an appearance, all was not lost as a nice 17” brown subbed in for him. Great to catch with the video on!
Later, as I went farther into the bush, I started getting tired. I got to the spot I wanted, fished and then left. Shortly thereafter, I checked my hat and no go pro!!
Panic.
I thought about what I had done and realized I had taken my hat off because I was feeling very hot. Put the gp in my left hand with the net as the right hand carried the 2 poles. 20 minutes later when I left, right hand had 2 poles and left hand had the net. I was too tired to realize what I HADN’T taken.
As I said panic and a sick feeling as I retraced my steps to the bank where I had last stopped and there in the grass was the black headband with the gp!!
So up with fish, certainly down with loss and a final thank you up in finding the gp.
Wow, I went home!
