Awesome upgrade. Little ripper now. Love the area you ran in. I would totally like to water fly there. I would fly the UMX Twin Otter there and the Aero Scout on floats no problem. Perhaps even a bigger plane but I would have to see how wide it is close up. You need a recovery RC Boat like Jeff made or buy one like the ProBoat Tug I own. Great video and glad to see the little ripper Grom now.

That's fast! I order the Dumbo X6F receiver instead of the X6FG, so I don't have to mess with the gyro setting. Regarding the plastic outdrive cups, on the diffs, Aliexpress sells aftermarket metal ones, but they are pricey at $20 or so for a pair. They would solve a lot of problems folks are experiencing with the plastic ones.

i used a spectrum firma 6000 kv brushless esc motor combo. motor burn out on the first run lol. insane fast while it lasted. and arrma does make metal dif for it.

You seriously had me on the edge on my chair thinking that thing was going into the water.....lol I just did the same ti mine. Different combo. 10BL60 WP, Mounted in the center and it fits perfect. Surpass Rocket 4300kv motor on 2s and my top speed is also 42. These things are a ton of fun. Great videos, SUBBED!!!

The internal diff gears are plastic. I exploded mine with a Hobbywing Quicrun 10BL60 ESC with G3 6500kv motor combo on 3s. It went 54mph before the diff gears exploded. I still had a lot in her. I'm waiting for my metal diffs to come in and metal drive shafts with metal drive cups. Wish I would have gone 4500kv. 6599kv is too much on 3s and on 2s it is inefficient. I want to use it to race against the WLtoys, Team Associated Reflex 4B, and Rlaarlo at the local carpet offroad track we race these minis on Sunday. It's to keep the hobby racing prices down for beginners, young kids, or people who are not well off due to Bidenomics.

Its a good affordable rc to get people into the hobby definitely wasnt designed for us lunatics stuffing brushless power into it lol. That is a lot.of kv no wonder you exploded everything that must of been a sight. The new Team Corally Syncro 4 is a great value and is tough after all the mods your probably in that price range lol that is a great rc wont explode the diffs.

I see your Milwaukee cordless you use here. Out of all the available cordless screwdriver and drill kits around,what would you recommend for someone with carpal tunnel in hands/wrists? Thanks in advance,Tim. Btw nice upgrade on the Typhon. 👍

I would say the Milwaukee I have bad arthritis in my hands sometimes using a screw driver casuse a lot of pain. I like this has a normal pistol grip and you dont have to twist it to use it that should be better on the wrists

Awesome upgrade 👍 I was thinking the same thing. "How much money do you want to spend" for what it is stock I like the Granite Grom around the house and to give to my kids or their friends to drive. Not sure I am going to pick up the Typhon Grom version though 🤔

Thank you it is fun and I did save a bunch reusing an old esc and I had that reciever as well it came out of the infraction as well. I dont blame you while it js cool looking and awd the smallest twig gets it stuck so its good for a track and driveways. I only got it for content to show some lower cost options to get people into the hobby

I have yet to see a clean upgrade on this. Always some weird compromise. I don’t get the point of the aftermarket stands for the esc they never work. Always too tall.

Its needed to hold the servo the one piece esc receiver makes it hard I think mine is clean didn't cut anything to make it work
