I don’t think Ray’s blow up was an act. If you notice, throughout the his birthday night, Mew looks miserable so my theory is, Ray told Mew earlier on in the night but because Mew was just sitting around and not doing anything, Ray started to get drunk/high and then blew up about the whole situation and Mew staying silent

I got that too the 1st time I watched it. Because of how Mew was already acting really off. I 100% started getting the feeling that Ray had already told him prior. And ended up just imploding like a shrapnel bomb. Because Mew was still just with Top. And exactly like you said, he started drinking and whatnot. Like gasoline to a simmering fire 😬

And I love how many emotions Mew goes through in that monologue, since it seems very real to me. It breaks my heart when Mew first talks about them laughing at him and then the end about not being enough to be the only one Top loves, but no matter how mad you are at someone who cheats on you it can also hit right at all your fears and insecurities, so I loved they included that. And the way Book got through all those ups and downs in that end scene was AMAZING acting!

I think Ray just wanted to vent since he didn't know that Mew had a plan for Top. And Mew just basically punched Ray to shut him up and not say he knew already about it so that Mew could deal with Top later as he did.

The lesbians came for the win in this episode! First we're told that Mew is brought up in a loving home, with two moms, who gave him so much love that he never felt deprived or in the need of external validation from a lover/partner. And then we have our lesbian girlfriends basically solving their issues right away through open commnunication! Allright I see you, green flag lesbians, showing us all how to do it right! 👩‍❤‍👩 I expected to be dissapointed in Sand at some point, because this show is portraying flawd characters all around the board - but seeing him invade Nick's phone privacy, screwing him over and throwing him under the bus to get the tape, and then manipulating and guilt tripping Ray into releasing it, just to get his revenge over Top - that was really upsetting! If he wanted Mew to know, he should have told him himself. They know each other, they "run" in the same circle of friends - so I really need him to be better than this! 🙏 I am probably gonna die on the hill of "defending" Top 🙈I know this episode was all about the build up to finally expose Top, and yet I feel completly vindicated for believing him. We all know he did wrong sleeping with Boston, so we knew that blast was coming at some point, so for me the real test was whether or not he was genuine in his pursue of Mew. Because the way he was introduced made everyone think he was just in it for the hunt of the virgin, and that he would dump Mew as soon as he gave it up. But he didn't. And I didn't think he would. I belived he was sincere (or became sincere along the way) about wanting to change, that he was pursuing Mew for the right reason, to build a real relationship. But you don't change who you are or how you've been that quick. Making a life style change is easier said than done, so he "slipped up" with Boston and fell back to his pridefull cocky attitude with Sand at the hospital, saying he get's anyone he wants, but it doesn't take away from the fact that he was being honest and genuin with Mew, he wasn't lying about his intentions or trying to manipulate him in order to get his virginity. So I think I survied on the hill for another week. But let's see what next week brings us, maybe he'll return to his old habits and prove me wrong, now that his secret is out? 😆 But Mew played the exposé perfect though. So satisfying. At first I was like why is he being so aggresive, holding Top down like that, that seemed really out of character. But the second he mentioned he liked Top's moaning sounds, I knew it was about to get lit. I am really impressed by Book's acting in that scene, just look at the way his eyes change, that's really impressive. Actually if you look back in hindsight, you can already tell that Mew is upset after the bathroom break, even before Ray begins his rant, he is looking furious. 😡 Actually I understand why Mew end up turning it around on himself. He knows logically that it's not about him, but emotionally that sense of insecurity one has sets in anyway. It reminds me of my first boyfriend, he came out gay a short while after we broke up, and eventhough I knew that it wasn't about me, that I didn't make him gay, I still went through a period of time afterwards where I began to make out with everyone, because I needed to prove to myself and to others, that I was "a woman" and I somehow thought that was the way to go. And I think it's the same for Mew, thinking he's not enough for Top to change. 💔 Ray is really pitiful. But a lot of his behvior is driven by his alcohol addiction, and so we have to keep that in mind - not to excuse him, but in order to understand him. I think the reason he "decides" to give a speach in that moment is 1) Because he's drunk, so he's lost his inhibition - but I also 2) Because he's frustrated that Mew didn't do anything about the info right away, but just went back into the party. And so at that moment, because he's intoxicated he just goes all out. And I think the reason he calls out Cheum too is because he's hurt that she completly overlooks him, when she says that everyone has a partner, but more imortantly because he's annoyed at her praising Top as a gift from god and also how oblivious she is of the friend group being completely dishonest with each other and is falling apart. But he is clearly out of line 🙅‍♀ There is no doubt in my mind, that Boston is a *pyschopath* - he shares all of the tell-signs and characteristics of one: He is very charming, but highly manipulative. He is very self absorbed and assertive. He has a minimal amount of empathy, and doesn't care how his actions affect others. He doesn't care about other peoples feelings and he doesn't take responsability of his actions - instead he tries to manipulate or gaslight others around him to submit to his way of thinking. He doesn't know how to create substainable relationships, and he also has a very high sexual drive/boardering on a sex addict. He doesn't know basic social cues, and he doesn't take social norm into consideration in the choices he makes. And he has a lack of emotional understanding for other peoples perspective and so he doesn't even understand or realise that his words are hurtful. I was already thinking this around ep3, but ep6 solidified it for me. First, we got the scene right after the dad spills the tea about him possibly going to NY, and when Nick asks him about he just casually answers "yes" to that being why he doens't take anything serious. For me that was a perfect example of him not having any regard or understanding of other peoples feelings. And then he follows is up with classic manipulating, when he goes from saying "you're my number 1", and in the next sentence he subtly threatens him saying "as long as you're not being dramatic". And second, we got the scene of Ray confronting him about Top, and the way he swithces demeanor when he goes from "it was just bad timing" to "I picked him" that showed his true intent. And then he tops it off by trying to create some sort of shared alliance or guilt with Ray, that he wants this to happen and if he tells Mew, he's just as bad. So he definitly has no sense of other peoples feelings, a complete lack of accountability and he tries to gaslight and manipulate everyone even by emotional black mail and he then even ravishes in their pain.😈

I look at it as Sand was Ray's close friend and he knew Mew as an extension as in a friend of my friend, he might be acquainted to Mew since they go to the same bar but not to the extent to call him friend and talk about such delicate matter, Sand knew Ray and Mew are close friends so the best way to warn Mew was for him to tell Ray so that he can alert Mew. I mean thats the garb of morality Sand was working under and yes underneath that veil, he had the whole vengeance against Top agenda and all... That being said the most innocent and naive out of all of them is not Mew but Nick

I think Mew is insecure when it comes to talk about sex. It hit him harder knowing that it was Boston that slept with Top since Mew and Boston are essentially complete opposites. Boston has been around the block several times and Mew is completely vanilla so he's insecure about Top choosing to be with someone whose already well versed with the human body compared to him(Mew) who in his mind doesn't compare or feel good enough

Cheum and April for the win, communication is absolutely key. As for Ray, I Do Not justify his actions but they're understandable since he is struggling so hard with his drinking. He is an alcoholic, and that disease makes him into this other person. Everything about him changes when he's drunk, cause Sand didn't deserve what was said to him in the slightest.

Hi! Great reaction! Regarding Boston. I disagree a bit. His thing with Top is super bad and his toxic impulse to throw chaos bombs in his friends lives makes him a very bad friend and person. But I don't think he's doing anything wrong with his sex life in general(except the Top thing). I mean he's very clear about how casual he wants to be with all his partners and tbh in his relationship with Nick, he's not the creepy one. I love Nick but Boston has always been very clear that the most he's willing to give is maybe friends with benefits and that he's seeing other people. The whole recording him and confronting Top thing is borderline needing a restraining order. He's cute and I don't think he has bad intentions but that's stalker behaviour.

Boston definitely hasn’t been clear with Nick. He was at the veryyyy beginning, but after that, all he’s done is say things to make Nick stick around. He doesn’t promise anything, but he says just enough (like “if you stay lovely like this, our status can be promoted”) to keep Nick from leaving without actually going through with them. There is nothing wrong with Boston having an active sex life. It’s how he treats people that is wrong.

I recently watched eclipse I really enjoyed it definitely worth a watch

I love SandRay, however I was upset with Sand for sending Ray the recording. Sand knows that Ray is a loose cannon, especially when he is drunk or high. So Sand is also responsible for Rays outburst. He tried to stop Ray but it took Mew hitting him. Mew had a plan for how Top was going to find out that he knew what he did with Boston and he did not want Ray to mess it up. As far as what Ray said in the parking lot to Sand, he will regret it, mostly it was just word vomit. Ray when in his somewhat sober mind would not want to hurt Sand. Sand followed Ray because he cares about him and he also knows he is responsible to some degree for what happened in the bar. I love your reactions.

My opinion on Boston: the fact that he sleeps around with many people is not an issue, or even that he usually just has one night stand and doesn't want any drama after that. The big problem is what you were saying about him not realising that what he sometimes does is wrong. He is extremely manipulative and often projects his frustration onto other people. He cannot stand other people having what he cannot have. And I genuinely think that he sees no wrong in having slept with Top while he was already dating with Mew. There really are people like this out there. I also think that, at this point (ep 6), Boston actually cares about and likes Nick more than he realises.

Knowing that Boston is just screwed up and not malicious makes me still hate him but i don't want to run over his foot with my car type of hate him.

Yes what sand did was selfish and ruined all relationships even his own with nick because Nick trusted him and I agree/don’t agree with what you said about “sand revenge is more stronger than his love for ray” he does love ray but after what Boston told him he now knows he has no chance with ray and he put his walls up ready to let him go and he also knows what he’s doing because he knows that ray loves mew and when topmew breaks up he can have a chance with mew by letting him go which is sad but what he doesn’t know is that giving this information to ray was too far since ray is very sensitive/self-destructive and a alcoholic which brought the reveal way too high also ray didn’t mean what he said about the word because he was under alcohol, you can tell when he pushed sand he had a guilt/sad face

27:26 that's pretty much exactly what I was saying and thinking too when I was watching this, he shows a lot of typical traits of psychopathy. It's almost scary how similar your reactions and thoughts are to mine. Like you have read my comments on the episodes. But I saw no one else pick up on this so I'm very happy to see I'm not alone thinking that about Boston.

I hate what Boston does but I don't hate Boston. I think he is a little boy who needs to grow up. He has his issues that I don't think the show delved into. Like his father praising him for sleeping around and the "well when he fails here he will just get shipped off to New York". Not if he fails but when he fails. I just think there is more to him then we see and he reminds me too much of Brian Kinney from QAF for me to ever completely hate him. As for Top, I think he fell harder for Mew than he could have ever planned for. He fucked up when he let Boston's lies get him into bed and he should pay for it but I think he really loves Mew now.

I feel like he could remind me of Brian Kinney but there is one major difference, and that’s that Brian cared about nothing more than the people he loved. Boston doesn’t care what happens to his friends or how he treats them, where Brian would literally take a bullet for Lindsay and Michael, his two best friends. Their relationships with sex and love may be similar, but Brian would NEVER do the things Boston does to his friends.

@@ipurpleu1668 your right overall Brian had a better track record for taking care of his friends but he also hurt them alot. He was all the time saying thoughtless cold things that hurt Lindsey. With Michael he was all the time saying asshole things to Michael and his dates. Plus he knew Michael was in love with him and had been since they were kids and when he was at his lowest, he would use that. He knew Michael woukd come every time he called. He would give Michael this tiny shard of hope only to break it the next time Justin called or Brian picked up a trick. We met Brian at 29, I feel like if he was still this bad at that age how callous and cold coukd his younger self be. I think Boston is like what Brian would have been in college.

@@xzavier88 I kinda disagree. But everything is up to interpretation. I feel like Brian was never purposefully malicious towards his friends, even though he made mistakes at times, just like his friends did with him too. Boston is malicious and does things without any care of his friends.

15:17 to expose Boston and Top, not just Top, both are being a55holes to Sand and both have gone behind Mew's back and are lying and keeping secrets while acting as if they are better than others. I do not believe in doing things in anger etc but Mew deserves to know and make up his mind about what he wants. Boston and absolutely Top should have informed him that they had been together once when Top started pursuing Mew. That is something you don't wanna find out after you do anything but that is probably no problem as long as it's over and you get to know it before you get serious. I mean friends having slept with or had some sort of thing before with a partner of yours, especially in lgbtq communities, is not uncommon. Just don't keep it secret then it's bad and you also wanna feel if it feels alright or weird before you get together.
