This time I´m installing new window channels and reusing the excising glass.
The work involved is a bit fiddley, but actually not that bad. Just have to do it step by step.
I did reused the stainless guides, because the new kit gets supplied without them.
I don't recall where I bought the channel kit, but I wouldn't recommend it due to the fitment issues.
The felt is not of the best quality and the tracks are too short on the latch side!

This makes such a huge difference in functionality and looks
Id say pull it out and start over. I think that's why the front had too much hanging over.get that back edge right where it goes and stretch it while installing towards the front

I tried that, but the upper 90° corner is exactly where it needs to be.. can't move that unfortunately.
Where did you get the new window channels? And the scapers with clips installed?

Unfortunately I don't recall. Might have been LMC truck or eBay. But bought those years ago. I believe I went for the seller with the lowest shipping and import duty costs..
Had to laugh at “What the fuck” directly followed by “Looks like poop”! 😂 Sometimes you just have to work with what’s available. Thanks for sharing this work, I’ll definitely be referring back to it later in life, because I’m gonna have to do all the same stuff when my S10 gets closer to being finished!
