As a machinist Moldmaker for 42 years besides running lathes, mills and other machines I welded. We stick welded. tig welded and gas welded many kinds of metal. Aluminum is one that can be tricky. I always liked tig welding aluminum. Good luck on your venture Peter. Burlington Bill busking across the country and on you tube.

One thing about sponsoring the boat build, for most of us here Plukky and co have given us loads and loads of entertainment over the years, so giving a little bit cant hurt? Ohh and with Lisa being on the boat during ElCano, it needs to be top notch peepoles, and as Aussies know a few Pineapples makes a world of difference lol

And he can fish - you won't be able to catch your supper by scuba diving mid ocean but I have a feeling this guy will be able to bring fresh fish to the table wherever you are! As a South African he probably knows more about Pinotage wines than Pineapple beer - but hey you can't have everything! ;-)

You need to add some giant floaties with a hard surface on the bottom of them to your boat maybe under the mid deck area incase of hitting a reef and maybe one on each corner of the top deck incase it flips then the ark is unsinkable .

Peter another really educational video lol. No really it was a good video. The Cats coming along very well and I think another 3 1/2 months everything should be complete and that means interior.also. This gentleman you had at end of video JEAN seemed like a crew member you'll need. He has experience and all the safety and has already experienced the Indian Ocean on 3 deliveries. I really think it's important you have experienced crew aboard and the ones with lease experience can then learn from you and the others who are qualified sailers. And Peter you are a r brave man eating duck eggs with embryo 🤮 Looking forward to next video mate. I'd apply to be crew, but unfortunately I've had right knee replacement and this coming fall will have the other knee replaced. I do have experience sailing on Lakes and the Great Lakes here in Ontario Canada. When young I was in sailing camp sailing Lake Ontario and Georgian Bay in Ontario aboard the Brigantine SY Pathfinder. This is not an application for you. However in a year or two if you are still looking I may apply. cheers

Back in the 80's at work there was a Iraqi contractor on site that would write his name on everything, never new why. Not an unfriendly guy just a bit odd, still makes me smile if I come across one of his squiggles.

Two thoughts I find continual change between the two boats confusing. How about filming the manufacture of your boat? Aluminum is a very reactive metal, aircraft have primer to protect the internal surfaces as well as the external paint, what corrosion resistance is planned? Noise seems likely to be a very noisy environment.. R

Yep! Just food, all cooked and ready to enjoy. Check up on the origins of your pantry! I have enjoyed chicken embryo eggs from a street seller in China as well as deep fried sparrows (illegal there!) and all are delicious. Real sailing vids are not about replicating the typically boring lifestyles but instead trying something new! Mind you, after trying something new you are allowed to decide you prefer other things! 😄
