The fish looked amazing! I’ve been doing saltine cracker crumbs for fish breading for most of my life and it’s always the best, there’s no going back. Especially if you use butter with a splash of oil to fry!

Good idea. We tried doing it with salt and vinegar chips and then desiccated coconut. Delicious! Funnily enough it was on the same island in 2015, this time of year is perfect out there.

Good to see you know (and use) the dry-wet-dry method of crumbing/battering anything. Here is two suggestions for you: 1) Try using egg whites only and if you bring a container to save the yolks you can then add them to an omelette the next morning. You are simply getting better use of your money. 2) when you are low on eggs or simply forgot them... follow the same d-w-dry but use a thin coating of mayo or in your case Kewpie in place of eggs. The origin of this is people often mix their cheese, herbs, garlic/g-powder into mayo before spreading it on 'garlic bread' to be toasted. You don't taste the mayo or are even aware it is there. (not sure about kewpie for g-bread though lol) Congrats on saving the turtle and thanks for picking up garbage. Everyone doing a little ends up being a lot.

anyone who hasnt tried kewpie, its a different kinda flavor you wont find anywhere else, its good on about everything. and ive lived all over the us, north south, west and now east coast south, dukes is my favorite, but kewpie is special kinda love. give it a try, dont try fake japanese mayo, get kewpie, you wont regret it.
