Ep 20: Backpacking Eagle Rock Loop | Ouachita National Forest | Arkansas

Ойын-сауық

The 28 mile Eagle Rock Loop is known as Arkansas' longest and most rugged loop trail. Located in the Ouachita Mountains it has crystal clear rivers, epic mountain view camps and vistas, bears, and lots of ups and downs. The trail crosses several mountains, six in about eight miles in one stretch! We hiked it a couple of years ago and wanted to come back and see it again!

We have a trekking pole tent that saves weight and fancy feast alcohol stoves. We use Andrew Skurka’s food management plan. Water is easy to get on that trail so we only carried about a liter at a time.
