Blown away by Islamic teachings on marriage. Wish wee had such teachings in Christian faith. If wee had of maybe many Christian marriages wouldn’t have fallen apart. Love the morals of Islam. Been studying Islam for several months now and feel God is pulling me towards becoming a Muslim. My marriage failed after 18 years, a Christian man who lost his faith and fell into much sins. May God bless you for this amazing teaching.

Married ever after episode 2 Principle 1&2 Principle 1: Surah azzariyat "I did not create human kind and jinn kind except to worship me" Verse 56 Surah mulk "He was the one who created life and death to test you that who will be better in deeds Surah insaan "We have made man from a drop of mixed fluid so that we can test him." Our existence is defined by test i.e. in ibadah(worship). Two types of ibadah: 1.Al Ibadah tul Alsakha (specific type of worship) I.e Salah,Siyam etc 2. Al Ibadah tul Ala'mma(general acys of worship) I.e Eating, drinking etc. These are not defined by shari'ah. But they are rewarded for the good intentions. Ibn tamiyah Al Ibadah is a comprehensive term that covers every verbal and physical action whether inward or outward. Those actions are beloved to Allah swt. So long as they are aligned with to things • Sincerity. • According to the Prophetic way. The institution of Marriage is an act of worship. It is fulfilling the purpose of life i.e. Ibadah. What Shari'ah has to say about marriage? Prophet Muhammad (saw) said," The woman who has been previously married she is not to be given in marriage only after she has been given permission." Prophet Muhammad said," Marriage cannot happen except the wali of girl is present."etc Two key treasures when you see marriage as an act of 9worship. 1. You will not allow any of pain and the suffering of marriage to go to waste. (Correct Intentions) "The worship of the absent minded people are habits and the habits of the present minded people are worship." 2. Patience Summary: Ensure that whatever ,in the institution of marriage, you do you seek reward from Allah swt. Principle 2: Surah An Nisa "And they (your wives) have taken from you a firm covenant."i.e covenant of marriage. A firm covenant was mentioned in the Quran three times. 1. We said to the children of israel do not transgress on the sabbath. And we took from them a firm covenant. 2. And remember when we took from prophets a firm covenant. 3. How can you take the dowry back from your wife whilst you have gone to one another and they have taken from you a firm covenant. Surah An Nisa Prophet Muhammad made dua to Allah, he said," Oh Allah i deem it very sinful that the rights of two weak ones are not safeguarded the rights of orphans and women." When Anas ibn malik came back to medina he prostrated to Muhammad (saw). And prophet Muhammad saud ," What are you doing?" He said," Prophet Muhammad i came bavl from al sham and i saw Christians prostrating to their religious clergy. So i thought we have to do the same for you out of respect. Muhammad saw said don't do that. But if i would have instructed any other human being to prostrate to another i would have instructed wives to prostrate to their husbands. Because of their responsibility towards them. I.e It is a firm covenant. The institution of marriage is destroyed by two factors: 1. Pre marital affairs (sexual intercourse outside of marriage). 2. Mockery (jokes about the marriage itself and husband & wife). Marriage is sacred because Allah swt made it sacred.(No jokes about it.)

I know there is fire in your heart. From pain. From trauma. From injustice. From loss. Cool the fire in your heart with the Quran. Surah Yusuf, teaches us that people with Sabr and Tawakkul, will always have beautiful and blissful endings. Try making a silent dua if you see someone struggling with anything instead of being among those who judge, it’s an unparalleled peaceful feeling.

Clear analysis of the reasons of the dismissive attitude behind marriages nowadays and importance of adopting seriousness with marriage, and practical examples. Many marriages fail due to lack of respect and lack of good Manners. Toomuch interference of the in-laws esp mother inlaws conrolling daughter in laws....always taunting that my son deserved some one better than her, rights denied for her personal space etc On the other hand Wife ungrateful to her husband, lack of manners, disrespectful towards inlaws, competing with her friends...Riya, controlling her husbands money, wanting to keep all for herself nd children...wanting to spend on her family (her parents nd sibblings) while his family has more right than her family etc Sadly there is somuch chaos in muslim marriages. Only if people were mindful of Allah, having Taqwa. The outcome of all matters will be returned to Allah.
