Ep 194: Jaw-Dropping Trading Ambition With Millionaire Trader Mariana*
Trader Mariana knows trading ambition. She is, after all, the first female millionaire in Tim Sykes’ Trading Challenge.*
And you can get a sneak peek of Mariana’s dedication ... Hosts Kim Ann Curtin and Stephen Johnson welcome her as today’s guest!
Mariana joined Tim Sykes’ Trading Challenge shortly after high school and hit the ground running. She’s also a longtime listener of the SteadyTrade podcast.
Ambitious from the get-go, she was eager to make her mark. Once she committed to trading as a profession, she locked in.
But steady ambition doesn’t make trading any easier - especially without many female trader role models.
Mariana adapted. She made a friend and found herself inspired by the trading ambition of her peers.
Get a taste of her unstoppable force in this week’s SteadyTrade podcast!
(*Please note that these kinds of trading results are not typical. Most traders lose money. It takes years of dedication, hard work, and discipline to learn how to trade, and individual results will vary. Trading is inherently risky. Before making any trades, remember to do your due diligence and never risk more than you can afford to lose.)

@@iPlayiOS damn man i can relate so much ive heard the first episode with Mariana from back when she was finding her consistency and i remember her talking about how her family was so supportive and i kinda envy that because just like you, my familiy is the complete opposite when it comes to trading and entrepreneurship in general. It would be so much easier for me if my family wasn't trying to get me away from learning about trading. anyways gotta do the work and later on, they will be glad that we didn't listen to them when they wanted us to stop entrepreneurship to pursue a 9-5.

she only succeed getting a boyfriend that makes 7 figures a year trading, copying his trades.....that's the truth...infact from the time he didn't make anymore money on trading after the bubble burst, she didn't too
Its awesome she made so much money so quickly but not everyone can live in their parents’ home, not have to worry about bills, going to work/school and putting food on the table for their family and have a boyfriend that’s already made a milly in the market. She basically had 24/7 to study and had a millionaire-trader she could talk with and get advice from... not hating but CONTEXT is everything. So don’t feel down if you’re not a millionaire yourself yet :)

Stephen, you forgot Matt with the millionaire traders. The answer to your question Stephen is not because she is a woman it's because she was raised with discipline as part of her routine. Discipline is an agent of changing beliefs or behavior. She even stated that when she was raised she had routine and discipline as part of her upbringing, which means it's already a part of who she is. It's true that men are more willing to take a risk over women. Sorry, Kim is not because she is a woman Tim has thousands of female students and she is the first if what you said was true there would be more. Trading is an emotional game and both men and women are emotional beings. Its because she has no limiting beliefs that would limit her control of her emotional state of mind about money or her self-worth. That is very rare in a person, most people are raised with limiting beliefs, she is lucky to have supportive parents that feed her ego in a healthy way, most people have life experienced that feed their ego in a negative manner causing a cycle of self-destruction and doubt. For example, if a person does not have the support of family or partner, losses in the market could trigger any limiting belief about how they are not smart enough, or good enough. If a person had a breakup with their partner and they trade the losses may bring up limiting beliefs that confirm their limited self-worth. It's not the markets you need to fear it's yourself. Great job Mariana.

It’s all true, as If it came from Mark Douglas himself!
Awesome interview. When you were talking about it being a male dominated field, it got me to thinking that in many cases if a woman is going into a historically male dominated field, for her to be sucessful it would mean to put another person out in order for her to have the career/position, like a CEO for example there is only one. So the beauty of this kind of carreer, Mariana is setting her own goals and obtaining them and it has no negative consequences for anyone else as they can be just as sucessful as she has become without putting anyone else out. Her sucess does not depend on someone else promoting her to a sought after position. And also her sucess will inspire probably many others to see that they can do it to.
Great interview! It’s easy to see why she’s a huge success! Discipline!
Now that you've broke the ceiling, may the rest of us follow suit. I feel exponentially inspired. Cheering on your continued success & growth!
great video lesson about how to stay consistent and how having your mind and body working together and not giving up is important. especially love how the part where Mariana talked about how trading with consistent size at first in order to know what she was good at is extremely helpful
This interview addressed all of the issues!! What an inspiration!
Such an awesome insightful interview. Steve and Kim ask very probing questions and Mariana is very open about her journey and strategies. If you're a struggling trader, this video will help you understand the journey to become profitable. Well done! Congratulations Mariana on your hard work and success.

Hi everybody. I was wondering if someone could explain what multi-month, multi-week or multi-day breakouts are? Of course, I tried googling the difference between them, but i didn't really find an answer what the difference is. I always thought multi-day breakout, was when a stock runs for multiple days and breaks new highs multiple days in a row, but I think I'm wrong. Stephens says it at 12m30. Thanks!
with how much capital did she start trading ?
Great interview!!!!
very motivating girl age is 20s now 👍❤
Yes, women do think differently about trading. My wife keeps telling me to stop trying to hit Grand Slams and Home Runs lol
Does she track any statistics or just based on what a chart setup looks like? Steven dux and Triforce trader say you have no edge without statistics, but Tim Sykes and Mariana would prove otherwise. Im not sure if I should be tracking setups or not.
My grandson is trying in the market and is making a few dollars. I want to buy him a course but do not know which course to buy.

29:26 discipline... Responding to the market? Related to gender? No needing big wins?
Her story just doesn’t add up. Start with a 72% win percentage .....c’mon. Better winning percentage than Tim Grittani.

Where did you get the 72% figure? She said she failed trading breakouts at the beginning.
Women and men haven't been built equally? What a novel idea.
Her secret was j.k. that's it.
Mariana u are so beautiful. ❤ I ve never seen a lady so beautiful.
The maturity girls have are what give them the self control to make wise and appropriate decisions. A man's journey is longer and rougher because of the bad character traits and poor impulse control.
Is Mariana single?
Ask for proof. Why believe whatever she says
She has pretty cool dad. But to that women's comment on him. Owning a company and going long doesn't make you an entrepreneur! This "entrepreneur calling" needs to stop.
Because she's a woman. Gimme a break!!

Let's just say I'm pretty confident in my abilities as a trader. I guess personal attacks is your only response. The interviewer(who made one trade) insinuated because of the guests gender that makes her a better trader. I thought we were all supposed to be beyond gender labels.
