Another great vid Alex. I've considered Sykes subs myself, but two points in your video resonated with my own thoughts, 1, it's a lot of money, just a lot for any newbie trader if they're young and don't have much, and particularly when you don't really know what you're paying for in the first year. 2, Sykes videos are sooo long and full of irrelevant material. The guy that said a condensed version of truly useful info would be hugely beneficial? Spot on! How many people truly have the time to sit through thousands of hours? Much better to watch a few hours of good content over and over... Would be interesting to see something similar with Tim Bohen's Steady Trade team. I know Sykes and Bohen are closely related, but would be good to have that comparison. Although I know you are but one man, so can't do it all!

Tim does emphasize that he wants to make folks self sufficient. And he’s repeated, DONT FOLLOW ANYONES ALERTS. He states that his course should be looked at as a base/reference point for you to build on. And what market and cap size his strategy is most useful for. The fact that he preaches risk reward and cutting loses quickly is enough to give him a passing grade as a teacher. He does also say that if you’re a millionaire his strategy isn’t for you. Sometimes it isn’t the school or teacher, some students just want answers. Be self sufficient.

@@WilliamusTrades by other services. From personal experience. Join some trading groups for free. KZread. Do a few google searches for some strategies and concepts. Then search them up on youtube. There are TONS of information for free. Just look for them. I wish I had done this instead of paying thousands of dollars for these so called “courses” they are all the same. Give you the basic information you can find for free on KZread and google. Another tip: nothing can ever beat experience. I became profitable because I put in the work to understand why. Example (and also a nugget of wisdom for trading) : people say they only trade once a day during new york or london session; and trading less means more. Here’s the reason why: the majority of the move for that usd pair happens DURING that new york session. The rest of the day it just fluctuates in one spot and is very slow. Of course this is different depending on the pair and the sessions. It may take some time but it will pay off if you put in the work. Also, once you get good at demo. Put in some real money. Thats a whole new ball game. You’ll learn to control your emotions and trust in yourself

I've been with Sykes for over 5 years now. If I could go back and redo everything I'd probably opt out, but in the end it doesnt matter what service you choose. It's really the person behind the purchase that'll determine if money is made. You can have the best teacher but if the student is shit then it's a lose lose for everyone. Conversely if the teacher is mediocre but the student is very driven, then everyone wins.

Im in the challenge since 2020 and I think these ppl gave him way too low pts on the third question. I do think he tells you exactly when you should enter on a trade even tho its quite difficult to predict such thing. For example morning dip buys are pretty obvious and clear and its one of Tim's fav patterns to follow. Before entering his challenge I had 0 idea of these patterns, so for a newbie id say its pretty amazing. I will say tho, I hope the challenge was more personal, like a teacher checks your trades and tells you what your doing wrong and how you can fix your trades, which Sykes never does unless you get lucky and get your question answered in a live webinar. Overall I will give Sikes Challenge a 8/10 if you know nothing about trading.

If you're paying 7k for such a course you should have a teacher following your results and showing your way to profitability, if not .... not worth the money, doesn't matter how they structure the course, there is a need for mentoring, only a book, a spreasheet with explanations of how the market works, is not going to make you a professional. I have been studying by my own, and paying for courses, but there are many questions as I said a course will not solve your doubts, psichology and so on..... You need somebody to tell you this is wrong and this is right in the context of what you already are doing in your backtests, and once fixed the errors, then you can be sure that with your real account you will do as best as possible. So for me if there is not a mentor showing me the real deal of how to propperly trade, check my trades, give me answers, correct my errors then the Price Tag for such an expensive course is not worth it! That's my conclusion, and it doesn't matter to me if someone is going to tell me You are Wrong! because I know what is needed to be consistent & profitable in the long run, I don't want to be the so called "silver-spooned" but have someone to help me when it's needed!

@@ChicoBellik Don't Worry 😂😂hahah didn't mean to sound harsh or angry, it's just years of learning and seeing a lot of B.S. along the way, that's the only thing that frustrates me the most, now everybody is a so Called "GURU FURU" people not teaching the propper way, and having to pay lots of money for courses to stay even more confused than you started at the beginning of your journey. At the end of the day one have to find it's own way, knowing what to disregard and what information is good to use, trying to figure out how to put together all this puzzle. Just wanted to explain what I feel about this trading industry, people learn 3 things and start teaching others like they were trading for 10 / 15 years when they are maybe not even really consistently profitable nor living entirely from trading and thats what you can easily find with closed eyes in youtube, it`s just full of missinformation and very hard to find the good content. it's like finding a needle in a haystack.

It’s so annoying to hear Tim always say “study study study.” What should I study? He recommends his next DVD, which will be 80% of him telling you to “study study study.” Bro, you already told me that. I gave you cash, give me a detailed strategy with entries and exits, not a vague template for “stocks go up, then down, then maybe up again.” His KZread is good for motivation, but worthless otherwise.

Why do we even have to ask this question, if a trader/teacher is legit or not. If you claim anything, just show your account stats. In our industry it is so easy to track performance. Either you are positive or you are negative. I don't trust any guru until they show long term real account performance. Simple as that.

Thanks GOD in 2020 I didn't Purschase Timothy Sykes Course, I was really close! .... They also did me an interview by Phone, but when I heard the Price I got spooked, with that amount of money you can buy a good second hand car or something else, pay your debts, bills, invest... I know it's important to pay for education if not the market is gonna give you a good lesson humbling you by paying a really high price for not having the propper knowledge.... but what they are charging for such a course is way too high!

Yea there is no “interview” I thought that oh I’ll be interviewed and accepted and and we’ll go from there, they literally just say it’s an interview with this guilt trip, oh if u don’t think you can make your money back we don’t want you, it’s not that you need to be accepted it’s, they want your money, he went on twitter and was angry “I make millionaires” All his millionaires run together and don’t have any education u can learn from it’s weird to me that they’re all besties and no education from them. For 7k I want u to tell me every strategy, setup, everything ALL of it but he doesn’t make money from trading anymore it’s the marketing of his previous “students” to sell shit and they said he’s not even there anymore to help its weird

Sad Reality in this industry but whatever... I'll keep grinding on my own every day to be better than yesterday, if no one is gonna help me out in the right way.... then I am going to make it by myself, money does not always solve your problems nor find the solutions for everything. I don't disagree. But, this will only work if you study a lot and trade very small until you've learned. I started 2 months ago. Taught myself after watching many hours of tutorials on youtube. I was down 5% and am now up 2%. I was up 5% but the past two weeks have been tough. I've given into impulsiveness and FOMO. Some people can be self taught and others need someone to guide them. George Spence, who commented here, is not wrong. Most people do need close training. Not everyone can be self taught and I think it is wise to learn from someone who has been successful. On youtube there is so much information that if you carefully test everything you learn you find what works. The biggest obstacle is our emotions and impulsiveness. Baby trades with tight stop loss at first and then develop from there. ... maybe paper trade. Of course fluent technical analysis is a foundation but then you have to add level II data and simply learn to read price action. I use a watchlist of bear ETFs as a barometer. If they are green and moving up aggressively then I won't go long or at least I'm very careful. I have a cash account so I can't short... that may actually be a blessing at this stage of the game. I scalp which is very dangerous but it matches my personality and I'm getting comfortable with it. Just bing watch everything and test with 1 $2 stock position at a time... You probably know all of this. I'm just thinking out load here. happy trading.

I did sykes pennystocking silver for several months. I also did his 30 day bootcamp. I also signed up to his newsletter for a year (which included a weekly watchlist). these programs are all much cheaper than his 24 hour rockets or challenge program. his content is A+ I think. the most value came from pennystocking silver where you have access to thousands of short training videos. but his teaching isn't the best. I would probably rate him a C on his teaching and organization. a few of the pennystocking silver videos were done by his students (mark croock, steven dux). I think there teaching style (especially mark croock) is much easy to understand than sykes. sykes will tell you to do this or that in a trade (based on chart action) but won't really explain to you why with much detail. when you give some detail, many students can remember it better. mark croock seems to provide all the detail and explanations one needs when analyzing a chart. and he does it in easy to understand terms. I have found TRADE RECAP videos (on youtube) from timothy sykes former students (steven dux, tim gritanni, kyle williams, etc) to also be very valuable. steve dux provides amazing free content on his youtube channel. but, he is mostly a SHORT SELLER.

I think the 30 day bootcamp and the newsletter subscription cost me less than $100 combined as part of a promo deal. sure I can get a lot of the same content FREE but.....I have to spend the time and effort to go find it. FOR ME......TIME IS MONEY. could I find all the same content on youtube? SURE! and I would spend days searching and watching videos trying to pluck out key lessons that are important. I have no interest in turning myself into a full time RESEARCHER.

I’m currently on Tim Sykes’ Student Portal, “studying”. I agree, you have to put up with a lot of random rambling while trying to weed out the actual technical aspects of the lessons. It makes it SO difficult to WANT to study, because you really don’t feel like listening to half the useless crap he’s saying. If he’d EDIT his videos and remove the constant REPETITION of the broken record syndrome BS…the time STUDYING would be cut down SUBSTANTIALLY. As of this date, a current mentorship with Tim Sykes is $9000. So…yeah.

Sikes is a business man. Chatrooms are ok. But for example at Warrior Trading there are 1000+ students at the same time. I can't imagine learning anything in those. Vids from 2014? Wow. That says a lot about the quality of his content. Less quantity and more quality should always be the priority. OTCs are NOT for beginner. I started in 2019, had TOO MUCH luck and lost it all. Since then I self taught everything I know now. Two months ago I got to know a fellow german trading in B's chat which elevated my confidence and I plan to earn my living next year. Happy trading everyone!

I would go on the other side of the coin and say he’s helping out newer traders more than most content creators, most people are on the fence when it comes to these courses that’s he’s covered, why is it a bad thing to ask 4 people who have taken it to see what their opinions are wouldn’t u like to know what people think who have taken it. That’s like saying that leaving a bad review on a monitor that’s Samsung branded and your review is “don’t buy it’s bad” is defamatory towards Samsung and hurts their reputation. It’s 7k… if you were going to spend that much wouldn’t u feel better knowing these 4 people got benefit out of it. Bro, 1 of these guys builds vans, idek what he does but it’s not a full time trader is that not some sort of indication of the product. While he could steer away from the “clickbait” which isn’t a negative term like most act, and maybe less out there titles, but the overall value provided by hearing these reviews could be the difference from regretting a massive purchase. Why wouldn’t u want that?
