The thing I like the most about watching this project is I love old boats and would hate to hear the Aurora would be lost. Also it is very relaxing to watch and listen to Chris talk. Chris reminds me a little of Marty Stouffer on Wild America! Keep up the good work !

I love ocean liners and passenger ships, as well as working vessels. I love how you're not just keeping a piece of increasingly rare maritime history alive, but that you're doing nearly singlehandedly, without a lot of corporate interference. Just you and your friends and admirers. And you're taking us along, step-by-step, in detail. It must be incredilby peaceful to be on an ocean liner/criuise ship that is moored alongside a beautiful California farming landscape. I find your work and videos incredibly calming and inspiring. If you decide to send me a T-shirt, I'll proudly wear it everywhere! I look forward to the next chapter!

What I love about this channel and the restoration is that a classic ship is being lovingly saved and I get to see my old friend, the Delta, once again. I can still remember driving from "The Pocket" to Rio Vista after work some days and going through all of the little towns along the way. I'm impressed with how much you've been able to "recycle" to keep costs down and preserving as much of Aurora's bones as you can. If I win a t-shirt, I will wear it whenever a new video comes out. Calm seas and clear skies...

I love that you are saving history! This is not a profit driven venture, you have fallen for the Aurora and have helped all of us to love her too! I live in Springfield Oregon, I am an Electrician, If it were up to me, I would hall my trailer down for vacation just to get the chance to help save the old girl, my family dose not share my love for history… Thanks for sharing your world with us! Hope to get there some day soon!

Timelapse is kind of a must n some of these projects. I figure out that if I filmed the entire thing in real-time the video would be several hours long and much more boring.

I am an amateur restorer myself, mostly furniture and automotive, so I really enjoy that aspect. I have been in tactical military aircraft maintenance my whole career, as a hobby I enjoy learning about the nautical world. It is quite different from where I spend my days and this helps me to escape and relax. This makes these videos doubly enjoyable.

To find a boat like Aurora, with such an amazing heritage and for it to be accessible for a private restoration is just incredible. I love the team that you have around you. Doug (SV Seeker) may have the boat the internet built, Leo (Tally Ho) has the boat the internet restored, but you Sir have the boat the internet will watch with the mouth agog. Best of luck to you and your boat!

Thanks Stephen, I have been watching SV Seeker and it’s really pretty amazing to see what Doug has accomplished. Haven’t watched Tally Ho but will dig in and see what it’s all about. Interestingly enough I never thought to even give KZread a try until a few friends kept pushing. Simon and Gemma from Ship Happens helped launch my channel and I couldn’t be more greatful. Hopefully the world will fallow our every move and join in and help support our effort. I’m already amazed at how far we have come because of opening peoples eyes here on KZread. Thanks for the kind words..

As a cruise enthusiast, I find the channel enjoyable because you are bringing back to life, a vessel that gave enjoyment to thousands over it's lifetime! I have been watching since the first episode and am amazed to see this old girl slowly coming back to life. The skill and drive the whole team brings is just what she needs to hopefully make her sea worthy! I wish I could sail on her when you guys (and girl) complete the Aurora!! And to imagine, this all began with a notion from Craigslist!!

Let’s be honest, what’s not to like. You are saving a beautiful historic ship from certain decay and rot if you and your wonderful crew had not decided to take on this huge project. And from what I’m seeing, you’re going to make it better than it ever was and a living, working museum of nautical history.

One of the things I like the most about this channel is that many other KZread channels are do-it-yourselfers that try welding. It's really nice to see an actual welding master, Grid, at work. It's a great "Behind the scenes" story of what is possible now thanks to the internet, and will hopefully inspire others to restore something from our past. Yea ,yea I hear the nay sayers ,but I would guarantee any one of the fine ladies watching this ,understand what I am texting you. We are missing in our young men that level of respect ,and passion of persistent care , of doing a task to the end ,without compromise or quitting cause it is hard . I agree, There are few classic liners left and more on the slate to be scrapped out just because it makes more sense to take the money then to figure out a solution. I’m glad I’m standing behind this ship and will do so until she is once again a service to the public.

One can get overwhelmed by the number of restauration channels on YT but I've gravitated to the boating ones (especially sailing ones; this is definitely the only 'power' one). I couldn't do a thing you guys do as I am totally inept in this type of stuff but I find it absolutely fascinating/captivating to see determined people follow projects through. I found Aurora pre-YT, am in the FB group (where I also suggested doing YT and Patreon), and am a Patreon as well. Keep up the great work!!!!
