@@AdithiyaSankaranyou’re absolutely right, sir. Allow me to clarify the point. It is certainly true that the river flows through Tamil Nadu as well and they are entitled to its water. But the issue is of quantum. From the days of the Raj, the authorities have divided the share of water between the two states very unfairly in favour of the then Madras Presidency and later TN; and every attempt at rectifying this issue has been met with apathy at best and animosity at worst on the part of the central authorities and the TN government. The requirements to over irrigate cash crop farms in TN have been prioritised over drinking water requirements in Karnataka. I’m happy to go into much more detail over this, but I hope this clarifies our contention.

@@AdithiyaSankaran As of now, Mettur dam is filled with water completely and KRS is totally dry, this is the latest news. We are not saying we need all the water from kaveri, infact we cannot. There should be a fair distribution. Ultimately lot of unused water is being let out to ocean at the end.

There is huge difference between Karnataka Govt and TN Govt with the will and commitment in securing the interest of the water requirement of the people. We have spent huge tax payers money on SC lawyers on this issue, lost all time.

@@amazer6915 , Mettur Dam Is Not Filled Sir, 61 FT Water Is There and Majority Of The Time Mettur Dam has water till 80 ft that too not all the seasons TN Kaveri river belt villages are dependent on it for both drinking & agriculture. Every Year Karnataka Government Does the same in Kaveri river water sharing. Even if there is good rainfall for Karnataka have seen in news stating don’t release water. Supreme Court has to intervene & order the Karnataka state government to release water. Understood this year Bangalore is suffering but villages around Tanjore & ariyalur always faces these water shortages throughout year. Only time when they don’t have problem is when river Kaveri flows during Karnataka’s monsoon season.

I understand Smita ji wanting to invite everyone but someone who personifies the most corrupt anti national doesn't deserve a national platform. This man is the shame of Karnataka, a state I love.

Congress is such a messed up party that politician like this guy does not even talk any logic. Some of his statement as listed below proves his clarity of thoughts: St 1: When drought is there center has to assist us with more jobs St 2: Every statement is pointed towards BJP and the center st 3: If this guy is talking about price rise then Salary has also rised. This is global econmics. He don't even understands the basics of economics St 4: GDP of Karnataka is one of the highest and has grown leaps and bounds since 2014. Pre 2014 it was meagre 170 cr. and now it is 615 Cr. If center is not supporting then how is it growing. Not able to understand is illogical statement. St 5: Talking of sacrificing PM position by Gandhi family when Manmohan singh became PM; what a ridiculous statement, is he in senses St 6: Such an Idiot trying to logicalize Rahuls Shakti statement. Totally clueless what he speaks THE MORALE OF THIS INTERVIEW IS: Does Karnataka people still wants this joker to be their leader? If People thinks that this joker and his team wants him to lead them then good luck to the people of Karnataka and stop blaming the center for Karnataka not improving.
