So good to hear that you are doing well, Diana❤ Thank you for another lovely and inspiring episode. You both look amazing in your cute tolsta tees. Blessings💖
Thank you both for making my Sunday afternoon so joyful on this rainy day in Oxfordshire UK.
Hello to both of you, thank you for another fantastic episode, I'm glad that your surgery went well Diana and I hope your recovery is going well, I love that sweater pattern that you have planned Katie, the one with the cable motif on the sleeves, it is so pretty, have a good week and sending lots of love from Ireland ☘☘☘
So Pleased your surgery went well Diana.. Both your Tops are so Pretty Delicate Shades. Another Lovely Video.💕💕
Hi ladies, So glad to hear you are doing well Diane and prayers were answered. Yours sweaters are beautiful. Thank you for your podcast. All the best and have a nice week! Sheila

Thank you, Ladies for another great episode and I’m catching up to date.❤
I’ve been binging for days, y’all are awesome! I’m going to comment every time to help all my favorite podcasters❤
G’day, another gem of an episode 🌷🌷🇦🇺
It is so lovely to see you both with the Tolstas and that Diana is much better ❤
I just watched your podcast for the first time!! So refreshing, you both are just the sweetest, funny too. I am now a subscriber. I went to SAFF several years ago with a lot of my friends from Georgia. We rented a beautiful house and enjoyed ourselves so much!! We visited Black Mountain Yarn Shop, it was great!! I would love to go again...I will have to see...we now live in Florida, so much further to drive now. Knit on ladies❣
Beautiful today, ladies gorgeous in pink ❤
Great to watch you ladies again today. I have yet to knit a Ranunculus. I think I will have to knit a waterproof one as we have so.much rain here in Ireland at the moment. It is such a pleasure to watch your podcast. All the very best to you both.
It's so wonderful to spend some time with you both! Praise God your surgery went well Diana and that you are on the mend. I always enjoy hearing what you're up to. I live right by where SAFF happens and have attended a few times, it really is like Rhinebeck for us down south. I'm hopeful to attend this year too and it would be fun to see you two! I've been knitting away on the sleeve of my Carlina sweater (almost done!) and a bit on my Rosenlund top while watching today. Blessings to you both! And Katie, with or without the extra boost from coffee, you are a delight!

Martha, thank you so much! I would love to see you at SAFF if we all can make it happen this year. We had such a fun time the last time we went hoping to go again this year. ❤~Diana
Two pretty ladies in two pretty tees
Thanks for another lovely podcast!
I had a chuckle Diana as I’m knitting my third ranuculous and I also did an unexpected creative design change. And like you I decided I would be the only one who knew😅 xox
Love your podcasts! Your Tolsta Tees look amazing: can't wait to cast one on.
Love your podcast! Haha, my Mom used to say “whopper-jawed” - you are the first person outside of my family that has ever said anything similar! I am from NW Arkansas. I think Moms’ family came from Tennessee and North Carolina.
Good morning good job ladies love it
Sat on the river, knitting on a pair of scrappy socks - here in the UK - and watching 😊 Musselburgh is a really good idea for gifting….. I was doing socks or gloves. I don’t have much success with hats fitting well, but that one does so thank you for the reminder

Sally, what a perfect place to knit! ❤~Diana
Both look so pretty in pink
I just bought the same swifter and felt ljke I was trying to put a twin size fitted sheet on a queen size bed!! 😂 Finally got it set up and it worked pretty good. Guess I am used to my wooden one but wanted one to travel with. You all make me laugh and smile everytime and remind me of my friend Amy. Such a happy podcast that I always look forward to watching.

Enjoyed your podcast. Your sweaters are beautiful as all of your knitting. I'm going to get into sock knitting soon. Glad all is well!
Another awesome podcast! Diana I am so happy your surgery went well and you are feeling great. Absolutely love the tees you are wearing and the colors you picked are perfect. I’ve never knit a sweater but would love sometime to hear about your experiences with getting into sweater knitting …it feels a bit intimidating but you have made such pretty ones! Also I recently purchased the Knitpicks swift and find it easy to set up and put away! I might have to get to Fletcher as only two hours from me and have always wanted to attend a fiber festival 😊
I love your tolstas- they look great!
Beautiful Tolstas, you both look so nice in them. Your podcast was delightful as always. I myself have 2 testknits going on at the moment, the leith cardigan by Rebecca crow and the tanks sweater by anniina Juuti. Then there is still my second Kumulus tee waiting for me and my 2nd half and half wrap.
You two are so sweet and funny. Your sweaters look beautiful on you. I’m glad your surgery went well and you are recovering nicely. Thanks for sharing your knits, yarns and upcoming projects.
Such a blessing to wake and find a podcast from you both. You feel like friends. The only better thang to remember at the start of the day is that God’s mercies are new every morning and that we can say with deep assurance that God’s faithfulness is great. Good you have experienced this whilst having surgery and recovering. Happy Knitting ❣️

Amen and amen!!❤~Diana
Loving your Tolstas. I have the same swift and winder, Kaity.
Hi Ladies! 👋 I have the traditional wooden swift that occasionally begins to tug a bit. My solution is twofold. 1) I have a stick of 100% beeswax that I lightly condition the pole with, and 2) I tension the yarn lightly between my fingers, between the swift and my e-winder, at a 45 degree angle. Running it between my fingers eliminates jerking and gives you a consistently even wind. Good luck! ❤xo Carol 🇨🇦

So glad you’re here!! Thank you so much for watching!❤️~Diana
Talking about the "swift", I purchased my swift from Knit Picks and I love it. It's similar to the one Kaity showed but wooden. I also purchased a bag to store it in. It zips up and has a carrying handle on it. I love it. I keep it stored in the carrying case.

Thanks for another fun episode! I love your sweaters. I just finished my Tolsta tee and have yet to wear it due the the heat here in AL. I might have to make another one with the picot trim!
Love the podcast.
It's always with great pleasure that I watched both of you.
Yay for another WONDERUL episode!! Thankyou! I hope that you're more recovered now Diana than when this went to air. Life gets so busy sometimes and I have finally gotten to sit and thoroughly enjoy yours and Kaity's Knitting adventures all in ONE SITTING!!! The Tolsta Tees look so good, maybe you can knit your other girls and grand girl one in matching pinks for the SEAFF family trip event? Your Ranunculus is so pretty, and testing is SO MUCH FUN, and a tiny bit addictive! Wishing you a smooth recovery. I know doing less now is hard, but think of it this way, if you do more now, it means you'll be doing less for l o n g e r...who wants that?! Kaity, I do the same during action movies - I knit so speedily so if I know an action movie watching is upcoming, I like to plan a round and eound knit that would otherwise perhaps be less interesting 😂 Re notes on patterns and transferring to note book, take the easy way. I now GLUE the pattern with the notes INTO MY NOTEBOOK! Means I don't lose it or make an error transcribing my notes. Especially if it's a pattern I know I will make again. Have a great week, and happy knitting!

Hi Diana and Kaity, y’all are so fun to watch! I’m a brand net knitter, just started teaching myself 4 days ago. Your channel popped up in my feed so I decided I’d better watch. The only thing I know about knitting so far is how to cast on and how to do the knit stitch. I have a lot to learn so I subscribed and look forward to learning more. Thank you ❤

I hope we can share some good tips, encouragement, and inspiration with you in the coming episodes. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! ❤️~Diana
You both brighten my day! I love how you surprise each other with your projects 💜
I love your sweaters, ladies! The pinks are stunning on you both. ❤❤❤
Another lovely podcast. Thank you for coming to share. You always have lovely projects. I’m in Minnesota it’s been a hot week but I might shut off the air conditioning today if the smoke isn’t too bad… I’m working on a really fun Festive Yoke cardigan by Skeindeer Knits. In Rauma Finull. It is so fun! I started in June and I might split for the sleeves in 8 rows . Also making some hats. Tin Can Knits has a bonnet style called Beloved. I made a couple for babies last year and have requests for this year It s a very fun knit. I only have one sleeve left on my Corran Cardigan. The sleeve was narrow so I made the arm depth much longer and didn’t do all the decreases I’m going 3/4 sleeve. Need to finish. I’m using Jody Long Coastline yarn. ❤.I’m also making a Pig from Louise Crothers animal friends book. Some assembly required! I think I will sew as I go next time I make one . I’m assembling…slowly. Congratulations on your success I’m grateful for your time.

Sally, you sound like you are have a wonderful variation of knitting projects going or getting ready to cast on! I have been eyeing Skeindeer knits sweaters they are so beautiful. I will check out Tin Can Kits Beloved pattern I can’t pass up a baby bonnet! Thank you for watching! ❤~Diana
I’m so happy your surgery went well, Diana!! Thank you for talking about our KAL! I’m also making the tessellated vest. Mine is in blues. Your colors are gorgeous!
I’ve got the same swift and it works great.
Thank you for another great podcast I learn so much about different yarns and that info about Ravelry is so helpful. Sue from Western Australia
Love this podcast and I’m so envious of your mother/daughter relationship! I love love your sweaters and I’m thinking of making one.
I have a knitters pride swift and a fiber artist co electric ball winder. I knit like the wind- and both of these have held up to many many skeins of yarn wound. I would highly recommend both.

Love your Tolsta Tees. The pattern is now in my favorites.
Yay another Ranunculas!
So lovely to see you looking so well Dianne. I so enjoyed this episode and if it was the addition of coffee that made you appear so relaxed and and lovely to watch Katie than keep that up lol! Your Tolsta tees look great - pink really suits you both. I am making the Anker’s cardigan by Petite Knit atm and a pair of socks both of which seem to be taking a long time. 🌸
By happy accident I found your channel and LOVE your podcast!! I can't wait to go through all your previous posts!!
Love your sweaters ❤❤
Ohhh. Pretty sweaters & socks. Diana, I bought the same yarn as your Tolsta in the middle of the podcast. 😁. That Rose color called my name. I was torn between the thistle and rose. Rose won. 😊
I invested last year in Asford (NZ- available worldwide though)swift and yarn winder. I love then both and it’s a joy to wind the yarn My old ones same that you both got were a nightmare to use getting bird nests etc.

I have a few things I am going to try to see if I can get my swift to loosen up if it doesn’t I’ll definitely check your suggestions out. Thank you!❤~Diana
I have knitted 2 Ranunculus since spring!! And a winter one, WIP on hold until fall. I also have a winter Monday sweater on my needles! Now I want a camel and silk one!!😂❤
Diana I’m so happy your doing well! God is so good ❤ i squeal when I see a new video from you two. I would love to attend the saff festival. I think it would be a good fall trip for me and the hubby…. I’ll keep you posted! Katie I’m still knitting my bear for my moms bday thankfully it isn’t until the end of August 😂 thank you for another great video.
I went to the Kentucky Wool Festival with my family and my grandkids loved it! So many things to do and beautiful yarn and crafts. We are planning on going this year too :)

Another lovely podcast. Thank you, Ladies! I’m working on my first Tolsta Tee now - striping it with leftovers from three tee shirts I’ve knit in Cotlin by Ornighi Filati (discontinued - but my LYS still has it in stock)
Beautiful Tolstoy tees. I’m going to do the tessalated vest I hope! I have the spincycle yarn now to get the rest of the yarn. Maybe.
Knitting during an action movie, you could say the same applies to knitting on too much wine vs too much coffee.
Wonderful episode! Congratulations to the winners 😊 love to see all the items you both made/making. Seeing the yarns new to me. I still haven’t made a Ranunculus 😳 I know right??? I am on the body of the Tankar Tee and it’s turning out pretty nice. I do want to make a Tolsta, but am feeling the pull of fall knits…… Thank you for taking the time to share all that you do ❤
I’ve got a few more inches on my Tolsta. Yours are both gorgeous. I think it’s not the swift that makes the size of your yarn cake but it would be the tension on the winder. I have a metal guide on mine but I always add a bit of tension with my fingers and that means I can also find a knot in the yarn if there is one.
Hello from Hot Texas
Always enjoy your podcast, ladies! You two are just so special!
Hi Diana and Katie. I recently discovered your podcast on KZread and I have binge watched every episode!!! I really enjoy hearing about your lives and all the wonderful knitting inspiration you give us. Knitters really are a lovely community ❤🧶 I absolutely love your Tolsta Tees and I was wondering if either of you have ever knit the Love Note sweater by Tin Can Knits? I am currently working on my 2nd one. It does use mohair which I know you dont like next to skin but you could use suri+fingering or just dk on its own, and I always wear a cotton tank top or a dress under mine. Diana, I am glad your surgery went well and I hope you are remembering to take it easy. Rest up and knit! I also use a wooden swift and a wooden ball winder and it works fine. The trick for me is not to wind too fast, just nice and steady! Looking forward to your next episode. All the best from rainy Ireland!, Una ❤❤❤🧶🧶🧶

Una, thank you so much for joining us and saying such kind things. I haven’t knit the Love Note yet but it is definitely on my short list of knits to knit. Everyone that has knit it seems to love it, that’s always a good sign. ❤~Diana
Diana Before you buy a new swift. Get some Pledge and lubricate the wood. Idk how often you will have to repeat but it should work like a charm.

I have heard something that may help with your swift. I have a wooden swift also that I love. Someone once told me when it starts to get tight like that, take some candle wax and put it around the middle pole to get rid of the friction. Does this make sense?
@thefruitfulhands

I will definitely try that thank you so much for the suggestion. ❤~Diana
I knit in public but I'm in Texas and right now we live right next door to Satan's lair 🥵102° feels like 2000°. So I understand why I don't see other knitters at the moment but I wanted to know if y'all have seen other knitters in the wild. Even in the winter I haven't seen other knitters here.
