My son makes short videos of me walking, so I can see my steps and posture. I have a hard time watching them. I look a little worse than I thought. As for friends, I’ve reconnected with a few, recently. It feels good to reminisce and catch up with our lives. It’s something positive.

The view from your balcony is so beautiful and green. You're so lucky to have that outlook.

December 8th 1980 was a sad day. John Lennon lost his life. What legend he was. Glad you like him. 👍 I look back on old videos and feel proud of how active that God gave me all that strength. While stationed in Germany I ran marathons every chance I could. Fast runner here. Over the years I’ve slowed down but I look at it as my way to look back on my past. While stationed in The Army I accumulated and made 185 photo albums to look back on. I take it all as one day at a time.

Try to never let your past overwhelm your present. The lessons we learned along the way taught us to cope with the here and now. Peace Brother.

The few times I’ve seen a video of my pre-PD self, I fixed on how my left arm would swing normally. On a deeper level, I think about how the condition has affected my self identity - and how there’s no going back. Forward is the only direction and I’m gradually making peace with it.

That's cool that you have videos like that. I don't think I have any to look back on. Plenty of pictures though. I wouldn't want to go back and relive stuff either. I'm content with the direction my life took me in and just dealing with the PD as best as I can.

It’s a mixed bag looking backwards. Sounds like you went through some rough times! Youth can get us through those times and experience and wisdom can get us through the present challenges. You are strong and wise! God bless you and I don’t mean that in the super religious sense, just the how awesome life is sense! For sharing!💕

Hi Jeremy, an other great video from you. I have no videos from me, but I don't like to look at fotos from me bevor the diagnosis. This is a complete different person to me now. Full of life with a big smile. Even when I try to smile now it is different. That makes my sad. My husbands hobby is to make foto books from our holidays and partys. I don't like to see my self in those books and try to hide . So I think your attitude to enjoy the lively yong in your videos before the diagnosis is very good. I would like to do like you. Sorry for my English. I know it is not perfect. I hope you understand what I want to say. Greetings from good old Germany. XxDoris

I just wish I knew what I know now then...that's my thing. So far seeing the old me doesn't hurt too much but I was clueless too...about life and what to do with it, even though I thought I had all the answers 🙃

I look back over my life (I'm 46) and I too am grateful❤ very badly injured in a car crash that Dr's said I should have died in, and definitely shouldn't have been able to walk out of the hospital but I did with hardly any lasting affects, dreadful relationships, lots of hardships and awful things but I wouldn't trade any of it as it's made me the strong and I dependant woman I am today. I wouldn't want to experience many of those things now but know now that anything that comes along, good or bad, I candle it, I will ha dle it and I will be ok🎉🇦🇺❤

My bald brother!! This is my 4th attempt at leaving a comment. Somehow I keep deleting everything :/ I actually watched a lot of my old self from over ten years ago or so. For me, it lit a fire under my ass....that fire...not to give up. I am going to push myself to get back on the ice and stop pucks! I miss the boys, and the stories in the locker room. So..I will do it. Great topic bro. Peace and love from Canada EH
